Pope Francis urged a more humane global system that respects the poor and the environment, as he criticized the economic order, in an address to the United Nations on Friday.

The pontiff, whose reform-minded approach has won him a rousing global following even from non-believers, offered his vision of a better world on his latest stop of a US tour that has brought thousands to the streets to welcome him.

Taking the UN rostrum, the leader of the world’s more than one billion Catholics called for reform to global bodies, including the UN Security Council and financial lenders, to “limit every kind of abuse and usury.”

In a wide-ranging speech, Francis touched on an array of hot-button topics, including the persecution of Christians, the Iran nuclear deal, drug trafficking—“silently killing millions”—and the rights of girls to an education. …

The pope needs to just shut up and go back to his cozy little protected ‘country’ where Muslim invaders are kept out.
I’m sick of the Pope 24/7 and his Lib ramblings.

Maybe the Pope go and reissue out some Letters of Indulgences, and gift the money over to the poor in some pay-for-soul-entry sort of way.

The Pope said that because the UN is run by the Scum Of the World these days

This Pope reminds me of another person who wanted ‘change’ in the US. There were enough suckers then to get ‘change’ and now we are loving through it. After years of observations including a stint overseas in WWII I am very skeptical of one person’s ‘changes’. Go back in history and look at the chaos these people of ‘change’ made. Popes for me are as fallible in judgments as these past ‘changers’ were. I had an uncle that I admired very much and he had a couple of taverns in the prohibition days. I believe this uncle was as wise to the world as a person who was only a bouncer.

Eco-Tax Administered by the United Nations to go beyond Carbon Credits, a tax that includes the total impact of development and exploitation of resources in the third world.

This includes the impact of modern heath care such as vaccines increasing the population and lifespan of these populations.

In addition, the developed world will have to pay a tax for every refrigerator and other modern convenience the third world buys to improve their standard of living.

Capitalism is the evil, its time it pays up.

This is what they believe, this is their utopia.

The UN is mostly made up of dictators, communists, and Muslims. UN is a joke and we are giving them billions.

Interesting the different summations given:

Pope Francis issues radical call for climate change action

Pope Francis calls for end to 'boundless thirst for power'

Pope takes aim at global economic order in UN speech - Al ...

I am similarly confident that the Paris Conference on Climatic Change will secure fundamental and effective agreements. - http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/09/full-text-pope-francis-speech-united-nations-150925174945079.html

The environment is mentioned about 23 times, and while certainly man is to be a good steward of it, the problem is the heart of man, and liberals magnify or invent environmental crises in order to ignore personal sins, or justify themselves as morally superior. The pope's emphasis as well as his shared delusions on CC and economic policy feeds into that, while failing to actually preach the gospel as seen in Scripture. Or even that which Rome traditionally conveyed, which are not the same anyway.

Of course he does...

when you deny the Godliness of the LORD Jesus Christ and the Power of the Holy Spirit..

you have to replace God with something...

so his god is the UN, and anything that doesn’t require him to bow a knee to the Majesty of Jesus, the King of kings and the LORD of lords..

This guy in a frock is so ignorant about the LORD Jesus Christ..

he needs to read the Bible

He needs to repent of his sins and get saved..

It isn’t the UN that died to change the world..the LORD Jesus Christ did that..

The Words of the LORD Jesus Christ:

“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in Him.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:14-18

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2

God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world. 1 Corinthians 7:23

That was the one who retired. He also knew what would happen when a Leader ‘fundamentally changed’ a nation.
