Hillary Clinton: Bill As VP Has 'Crossed Her Mind'
By Tom LoBianco September 14, 2015
Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton said the idea of picking her husband -- former President Bill Clinton -- as vice president had "crossed her mind," but has been advised it would be unconstitutional.
"He would be good, but he's not eligible, under the Constitution. He has served his two terms and I think the argument would be as vice president it would not be possible for him to ever succeed to the position -- at least that's what I've been told," she joked to Extra's Mario Lopez, in an interview posted Monday.
But she added, "It has crossed my mind."
The laughter at the thought of a "Vice President Bill Clinton," was a light turn for the besieged Democratic front-runner.
Clinton has continued sliding in national polling based on voters' lack of trust in her, thanks in large part to how she has handled controversy over using a private email address for public work as secretary of state. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Democratic socialist, has overtaken her in recent polling in New Hampshire and Iowa, although she continues to hold a sizable lead in national polling.
She also weighed in on Donald Trump in the interview, saying she has been "watching with some because I think a lot of what he has said has been really inflammatory and destructive."
"He has made a lot of claims, and I think it may reflect on the Republican side some of the pent-up frustration that they have," she said. "I'm going to let them deal with however they choose their nominee, ..
Clinton also commented on her meeting with two top celebrities, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
"I really found her to be warm and very personable.

Had had enough of both the Clinton’s and Kardashian’s. Wish they would all drop off the face of the earth. One is a family of butt ugly freaks, the other have been milking the taxpayers with their political schemes.
I think they call this “pet the dog” in film making.
Obviously she doesn’t know the law
No one can be VP who is not eligible to be President. Bill is ineligible to be President due to having been president twice
She knows the law, she just doesn’t think it applies to her family.
No, she is just throwing everything out there right now. She thinks that bringing him up is like reminding everyone that her husband was homecoming king, the most popular boy in school.
I just hope that we are able to witness her Helen Keller moment and see her melt down when she realizes that nobody wants her.
Read the story, not the headline
“Genius at large” apparently didn’t make it to paragraph #2.
Gee....this must be that “funny, humorous, spontaneous” stuff her campaign told us about was coming. We might have missed it. Thank goodness we got the notice in time.
I am sure she found Kim’s boobs very warm to the look
All Hail His and Her Majesties - The King and Queen of the former United States of America!
I wonder if she realizes that the only way Bill would become President ( if he was eligible, which he isn’t ), was if he knocked her off or she was sent to prison.
Bill’s not constitutionally eligible. He can’t serve as President. At least constitutionally but what does that old thing matter anymore.
He’s not eligible to be veep, is he? This woman’s stupidity veers between annoying and insulting.
After discovering the Kardashians my view of the Turks is a bit more favorable.......
The only way Bill could be President again is if he were Speaker of the House and both the President and Vice President died or resigned at the same time. I don't think there is any provision that would stop him--but maybe he would only be "Acting President" (not that that would mean any less authority).
former President Bill Clinton — as vice president had “crossed her mind,” but has been advised it would be unconstitutional
When has the law ever slowed down a Clinton? Or Obama?
Never, if they could get away with it.
That too, good point.
