Practice Opus Thread
Posted on 09/05/2015 8:33:12 PM PDT by Lazamataz
fhayek and I both noticed that the opuses that are being created lately, frankly, suck. We want to have this thread available so that people can practice their opuses, so when they finally leave Free Republic, they can do so with style.

That’s because you didn’t highlight it, to see what he’d written.

Ah yes, the famous - or is it notorious - F-You Symphony. Sung in the key of F, perhaps.

Not bad for your first Opus. Hell, it took Chopin 53 tries to perfect his Polonaise.

Otus Opus is a story about a girl, Aino, who wants to draw every owl in the world. With her companion, a flying ray called Plätty, she is traveling and looking for owls.
It’s been a while
This hiatus lasted longer than i anticipated and i’m so sorry for not informing you earlier. Seasonal depression managed to surprise me, i wasn’t prepared for that, autumns are usually easier for me. Now it’s better and art + comics are happening, which is why the hiatus will still go on a couple of weeks. While i was looking for my motivation and inspiration,i kind of started a short comic and i want to finish it before the local comics festival. See you then!
end of message
There won’t be new pages this week. I couldn’t finish them for family reasons.

...SO... in other words, to boil things down to be more clearly understandable (but +1 for the wandering, rambling screediness of it all) you reject Laz's opus (now opi?)?

Much better.
If it was converted into one run-on sentence it would be perfect.

Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.
Groop, I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes,
And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts
With my blurglecruncheon, see if I don’t!
