Huell Howser’s success proves that Americans and Californians are big-hearted Christians with the least amount of bias in the world.
Howser was a flaming, promiscuous fag with a fake country accent who died of AIDS.
Yet, my father, mother, brothers and I watched his show, California Gold, every Sunday after dinner. We all knew he was a sick homo but loved his show anyway. California is a wonderful state with gentle, hard-working people who lean on the Catholic missions.
His programming could easily be duplicated by ten more talented and more interesting people.
I could see someone talking to Jake from State Farm at three in the morning trying to explain his/her house sits atop a volcano.
Howser worked at our local news station in Nashville in the 1970s. That accent was not fake. I can’t speak to whether or not he was promiscuous, but I do know he died of cancer and I’ve seen no evidence of AIDS (if he did, he would’ve been dead from it in the 1980s).
You are a special kind of special
