Tebow got a standing ovation when he entered midway through the third quarter and the crowd roared so loud when his name was introduced he had to quiet them down because he was taking the snap in a shotgun. Tebow threw for 69 yards and ran for a touchdown in his first game in two years.

As a Cowboy fan, I’m thrilled Tebow and Austin are playing for the E-girls. Murray, however, was a loss to us-—however, that was truly based on one season. We’ll see if he can stay healthy.
on the field. that’s the best way to serve up the crow (and there’s alot of crow to be served up for critics on this site). God continue to bless you Tim, no matter what you do.
Knock it off with the God thing. The NFL is (and has been) loaded with Christians who play and star (I.e., Kurt Warner, Russel Wilson). If and when Tebow is better than the QB ahead of him on a weekly basis, then he will start.
It will be nice to watch some games again.
I would think someone with an excellent work ethic would be a must for all of Cleveland's teams. They seem to slack off when it's most important to up their games.
The NFL hated him because he was an unabashed Christian. Elway hated him because he was more popular. All he could do was win games. And no, the NFL is not filled with people cut from Tebow cloth. The main culture is thug and cheat.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as Philadelphia Eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
(Okay, I borrowed "Philadelphia" from the book of Revelation.) :-)
The old saying goes its not a good thing when the quarterbacks jersey is getting dirty.
Good news :)
So he has worked on his game and it appears to be paying off. Good for him! Godspeed, Tim Tebow.
But to say the NFL hated him is a stretch. Robert Kraft and the hated Patriots gave him a real chance and Tebow came up way short.
Nice to see he didn’t give up but instead worked on his dream.
Oh please, the NFL is about money. There have been many Christian superstars in the NFL. If they are better than the next guy, then they play. I really like Tebow, and I want to be a top player, but I’m not going to give him a pass because he is one of us.
As opposed to Winston’s debut agains the Vikings.
Tebow played the whole second half. Interestingly enough every snap was from the shotgun. His first series looked pretty good - 4 for 4 for about 50 yards. He moved the ball well, made several good passes, and seemed a changed man. After that it was the same old Tebow. He was 2 for 8. Even playing out of the shotgun he was sacked three times, though one was negated by a late hit penalty. He didnt look like he was reading defenses well. He looked like a third string quarterback. A borderline third string quarterback.
Just saw the highlights on ESPN.
It's deceptive. He played the whole second half and in his first series he was four for four for about 50 yards. The rest of the quarter he was two for eight with three sacks. Which is surprising since he took every snap from the shotgun which should have given him more time to read the defenses and react.
Surely the Eagles would realize that to keep him would equal more revenue & ticket sales?

Not necessarily. Remember, these are the fans
that threw batteries at Santa Claus.
He didn't do it today. Maybe next week.
Even more puzzling was he took every snap from the shotgun which should have given him more time to analyze and react. Didn't look like it helped.
I must have missed that game.
Maybe the reason I root for Tebow is because of my thirst for a Godly Professional among athletes when none can be found?
Seems these days, and for at least 15-20 years sports has been dominated by thugs, pervs, and self-worshiping egomaniacs.
ok. but better keep your knife and fork handy :). that crow keeps forever.
