They’ll be snarky and go through a “bad” one and follow it up with a “good” one (if there are enough) and then more snark and feigned self deprecation, sincere self congratulation and then follow it up with meaningless tripe about being fair and balanced and blah, blah, blah......

Fox was never ‘fair and balanced’. This merely showed its true colors - ‘unfair and unbalanced’.
Do any other Freepers remember when Bret Baier, then a cub reporter for Fox News, was late to the party in announcing the verdict of the OJ Simpson CIVIL trial? As I recall, the verdict was written on a piece of paper and held up to a window (court house window?) and the reporters scrambled to read it and report it out to the viewers. Baier was frantic because he couldn’t read it. Anyway, my memory is hazy on this event, but I think that I have it basically correct.

Fox will not loose much of it’s audience long term for one simple reason.... there is no other place to go on TV. and, we don’t know the network’s strategy for regaining it.

24 million viewers received the message of some fine conservative candidates and the clear message that Fox wants to destroy all of them!
When I first saw FoxNews I was astounded, this was many years ago and I had never realized just how left leaning the others were until I saw a “news” channel that actually leaned right. I remember asking some who claimed that the other news channels did not lean left if they had ever watched FoxNews and most said no, they had not. I told them to watch Fox and come back and tell me if they saw bias in support of the right. Unfortunately some years ago I stopped watching Fox because they had become simply a foil for the left. It was almost comical to see liberals ranting about how far to the right Fox was, in truth by the time they started that rant Fox had become merely a watering hole for Rinos. I haven’t watched Fox regularly since before the death of Tony Snow. You could only take it seriously if you are dim enough to believe that the only women who can read the news well are beauty contest winners. It is almost worse than MSNBC simply because only an idiot takes MSNBC as anything other than a comedy show which is much funnier than Saturday Night Live ever was if you can overlook the tragic aspects (think about it, if you lived in Russia you would die laughing at Al Sharpton doing his routine) but some people still take FoxNews as a conservative news program while it is anything but that.
Same strategy as the Republicans. There are many alternatives to TV, and people are very angry. We’ve got SERIOUS problems in this country and not one of these overly paid Prima Donnas gives a rat’s ass because reality doesn’t affect them like it will the peons that continue to prop them up!
I will not tune into the next one. I’ll get it second hand by alternative media and mostly FR.
No matter what the outside looks like, ugly goes all the way to the bone.

It’s a one shot deal that doesn’t alter their ad rates. All they get is a moment of bragging rights...and seething jealousy from other networks.
Wait a month to see real effects of Fox’s debacle, especially the prime time news.
