Oh, he's going strong, last seen at the Battle of Monmouth with blood all over his face as some of his men deserted. I don't think he'll die, as the real Simcoe went on to Canada after the war. I know I should hate him, but he's my favorite.
This is the scene that got my husband interested in the show...he was passing through the room as it was on, stopped to watch, and ended up binge-watching both seasons:
Tonights show was great too....
AWESOME! Thanks for the heads up.
Just got home. Gonna watch it tomorrow. Just too tired tonight. ; )
Will let ya know!
Long Live the Nathan James.
Oh geez I’m glad I didnt spoil it for you then...lets just say the preview editors are VERY good.....they lead you on for a week then spring other stuff on you that you didnt see coming.....I love this show.
And yes I yelled “HELL YEAH!” a couple times....lol
Ha! Would have been OK.
TOTALLY agree. I love how they do that )spring stuff on ya”.
I swear every time I see it I think “I SO wanna join the NAVY”.
Mrs. Gamecock and I were lounging around yesterday and based on this thread I pulled it up on Amazon Prime. We were both hooked! She made me play the episode 2 and 3 before we left for a family obligation.
I am just a retired Army guy, but I like the military being portrayed in a good light. I like the Captain’s strong leadership, and the fact that he cares for his people. I like that faith is portrayed positively.
I have a hunch I know what we will be doing this evening.
Ha! Yes!!!!
Yes TOTALLY agree about the military being portrayed in a good light. This show does it in spades and not in a silly “rah rah” fashion. These are just good people who love their Country, fellow man and each other and are doing their jobs.
So love it.
We watched episode Season 1, episode 4 last night.
What I really liked, and this builds on what you just said, is the way all of them were struggling with their personal issues of family and fear, but in the end put those aside for the greater good.
I loved it when the Master Chief opened up about his pain and used that to encourage the Captain.
Exactly! There are real people, good people who are honorable.
I love it so.
I really enjoy this show, good to see some discussion on FR about it!
It was announced this week that it has been renewed for season 3, with an order for 13 episodes.

The following contains spoilers regarding Season 2 episode 9 “Uneasy Lies the Head” - continue reading at your own risk....
...I LOVED the ending, go Rachael - actually went back and watched it again “on demand” and the way she taps the IV drip at the beginning of the scene is just priceless!
I am predicting before the end of season 2 that Sean Ramsey will capture Chandler’s family.
This is a year old thread, but I just binge-watched TLS. I’m on season 2 episode 3. Such a great show. Duty. Honor. We are all starved for such values.
