This is a dumb question but I always try to picture how other Freepers are at the moment they are posting.
So just out of curiosity, how and where are you commenting on FreeRepublic.com?
Are you you in a dark basement by yourself? In a shopping mall, waiting for your wife? Half watching some program on TV while you Freep?
Nothing special for me. I'm sitting outside in a perfect Minnesota summer evening with a beer in hand and my two dogs next to me.
Here and now.
I’m in a “white collar” federal penitentiary’s library.
Just kidding, I’m sitting at our computer in our master bedroom.
Im sitting next to a wide opn sliding glass door, patiently waiting for the deer to make their evening appearance.
Hubby’s got Lynyrd Skynyrd turned up full blast on the TV (PBS)-”Free Bird”. I’ve got headphones on to blunt the noise while I check the latest news.

I’m on the toilet, laying a Obama Bomb.
I’m sitting in my dining room with a glass of cheap pink wine. Oops, it’s empty. I’m on a desktop PC with a real keyboard, fwiw. My 21-year-old son is at the table behind me on his laptop, drinking beer and occasionally giggling. My husband is in the living room watching “Hawai’i Five-O” and drinking better wine, with a cat.
A couple of our other children are asleep upstairs, but six of them are at camp. Otherwise, it would be much louder year, even at 9:43 EDT.

Dogs are sleeping at our feet. Wishing I was sipping an ice cold glass of Shiner Bock but settling for an iced coffee.
Stopping packing for my move from LA to Dallas that starts tomorrow, and checking the latest FR news on my iPad mini.
In the living room at the computer desk with a hallmark movie om and just waiting to put my mother with Alzheimer’s to bed. Have to wait till about 9:00 - 9:30 when her medications kick in to transfer her to her bedroom. Otherwise I have an endless night of wandering. Just a matter of weeks till she is placed in a nursing home
