A computer simply isn't capable of comprehensively underestimating the intelligence of the average liberal driver. "Does not compute"...SMASH!
I've seen worse including texting on twisting mountain roads.
The capacity of some people to be oblivious to the safety of others when driving is indicative of a society that no longer values fellow human life.
>>That the car that did have right of way can be gracious does not mean that the fault no longer lies with the car that did not have right of way.
Depending on circumstances, they can charge (or more likely the insurance company will assign fault to) the driver “who had the last opportunity to prevent the accident”.
As an example, a guy is moving into your lane. You have the right of way, so you stand your ground and do not back off and he hits you with his side impacting the front corner of your car. Later, you tell the cop that you saw him coming over and held your ground because he had no business entering your lane. The damage shows that your front bumper hit the side of his car. You are at fault.
In the future, if a woman gets into her driverless car to go to the hospital because she’s in labor, will her direction to the driverless car be overridden by a municipal request to take her to City Hall to talk about an overdue utility bill?
Best line of the day
“It could be that a machine driven car doesnt give the same subtle clues as a human driven car.”
Bingo. There are many “tells” that show you the other driver’s intent. Slight shift in lane position, wheel turns, acceleration and braking patterns, etc.
A machine car will make turns and stops along its programmed route without any “tells”
Problem solved.
I guarantee that any human driver who decided to obey the rules of the road with exact precision - always deferring to someone else with the right of way and always taking the initiative when he had the right of way - would get into an accident in very short order.
I know one intersection where I have a clearly marked right of way but where I always slow or stop because I have seen morons ignore a yield sign and sideswipe someone about a dozen times.
Also, I drive maybe 750 hours per year - one of these cars probably drives 300+ hours per month.
The more hours you spend on the road, the more terrible drivers you will encounter.
Write an email to Google and tell them you want to kiss their azz.
>>Problem solved.
The other guy will talk to the police and he will claim that the lane was empty when he started his lane change and that you must have rushed up and hit him.
And you are standing there saying, “I have nothing to say.” Based on the damage evidence and the testimony of the “victim of your road rage”, the cop will probably just tell you, “OK” and start writing your ticket(s).
"you tell the cop that you saw him coming over and held your ground because he had no business entering your lane.
The Problem of stupidly admitting guilt has been solved by not talking to the police. All other evidence can be argued in a court of law "if" the officer writes a ticket.
“The Human”....LOL
Objectified....
>>All other evidence can be argued in a court of law “if” the officer writes a ticket.
I assume that you want your car fixed. Most traffic accidents don’t even get a ticket unless injuries or aggressive driving are present. But, the insurance company will insist on a statement and they will assign percentages of blame to determine how much of your damages they will pay for.
That’s a really excellent video.
This is telling me that the auto cars do very well when it comes to following the rules of the road, but suck at defensive driving.
I’ve gunned it and driven into a ditch in order to avoid being rear-ended. The truck managed to stop before hitting the car in front of me. Nobody hurt. No damage. No accident.
It is best to talk with an attorney before making any statements to police or insurance companies. Your silence is not an admittion of guilt, but to:
..." tell the cop that you saw him coming over and held your ground because he had no business entering your lane."
is.
Bumper cars...????
I stop at green lights quite often... when the road ahead is jammed with stopped traffic. It is down right ignorant, and illegal as well to block intersections.
>>It is best to talk with an attorney before making any statements to police or insurance companies.
Yeah. Unfortunately, if you don’t keep one on retainer, they get expensive.
Its usually better to just back off and not be a dick.
