The other guy will talk to the police and he will claim that the lane was empty when he started his lane change and that you must have rushed up and hit him.

And you are standing there saying, “I have nothing to say.” Based on the damage evidence and the testimony of the “victim of your road rage”, the cop will probably just tell you, “OK” and start writing your ticket(s).

In your example you state:

The Problem of stupidly admitting guilt has been solved by not talking to the police. All other evidence can be argued in a court of law "if" the officer writes a ticket.
