The Problem of stupidly admitting guilt has been solved by not talking to the police. All other evidence can be argued in a court of law "if" the officer writes a ticket.

I assume that you want your car fixed. Most traffic accidents don’t even get a ticket unless injuries or aggressive driving are present. But, the insurance company will insist on a statement and they will assign percentages of blame to determine how much of your damages they will pay for.
