When two people come together to form a relationship there are often adjustments in lifestyle that must be made by both parties.
Recently, a man in Virginia was told by his girlfriend that she didn’t care for his dog, giving him the ultimatum that he must choose between her and the animal.
So the man posted an ad to Craigslist explaining the situation and searching for a new home for his soon-to-be ex-companion.
The ad read:
“MY girlfriend does not like my beagle Molly. SO I have to re-home her.
“She is a purebred from a wealthy area and I have had her 4 years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. Has long hair so shes a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done.
“Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when youre down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!
“So … anyone interested in my 30 year old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her re-homed ASAP!!” (H/T Qpolitical)
True love doesn’t make demands of others, but rather figures out a way to work out problems in a manner both can agree on.
This man understood that the love shared between him and his pet beagle was true, gentle and undemanding, unlike that between him and his girlfriend.
There is a reason that dogs are called “man’s best friend.”
Maybe he got horny?
LOL!
Well it was on the side of the conservative Tribune
I think you need to read the whole ad. (Ignore my tagline.)
It's one of the ways I judge people, if they don't like dogs or enjoy music, they aren't real.
When you;re right ... YOU are RIGHT .
Close call there, pal...a little more discernment in the future may save you a lot of grief (and personal possessions).
I think they're delicious..
Esp with lots of mustard and chopped onions!
Love me,love my dog.
Some people can’t help it, especially if they’ve been bitten badly as a child. I love dogs, but am nervous around a few breeds. I was severely bitten by a German Shepherd and a Doberman on 2 separate occasions as a child. In the German Shepherd case that dog had me flat on my stomach with his jaws clamped around my neck. I had four bad puncture marks. My offense? I had just delivered their news paper to their front stoop. The dog jumped through the screen door to attack me. Luckily the owners were there and got him off me. I was 12.
I have every right to not like dogs, but I still do. We had a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog for 10 years and now have of all things, a German Shepherd mix rescue.
You have just identified yet another one of the problems with Islam, whether you knew it or not.
A story, I actually saw these ads in Craigslist myself, being in the habit of browsing it each morning.
First was a fishing boat with a motor on a trailer, all kinds of fishing gear, price $100, already gone. The text underneath is from an angry wife who is sick of her husband disappearing to fish, and wants it gone before he gets back.
They must work different shifts, because in a different section about five days later, a Craigslist ad showed a picture of the same back yard, price still $100, boat and gear gone, but instead, laid out in the grass, a hundred pairs of the fanciest high heel shoes you’ve ever seen.
No kidding.
HA! When I was reading the add I thought he was talking about the dog until I read the last line. I thought it was strange when he said "Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when youre down." because that is what beagles do best! Now it makes sense. Very funny.
Thanks.
Good point.
Someone mentioned the reason muzzies don’t like dogs is because a dog would alert the owner if a thief was approaching in the dark of night.
Didn’t you read the article? He chose the dog
Cue the applause!!
That was exactly my thought when I read the head line.
Honey, the dog said, “Don’t let the door hit ‘ya where the good Lord split ‘ya!”.
