Caught on Video: Blue Angels’ Florida Flyby Buzzes Beachgoers, Sends Umbrellas Flying

A video uploaded to YouTube by MrJasonmx3 shows Angel #5 doing a low fly-by. While the aircraft did not appear to be at unsafe altitude, it was close enough to the ground to send tents and umbrellas flying in the air.

According to reports, the maneuver was performed by Lt. Cmdr. Mark Tedrow. Tedrow is a Pennsylvania native who has been with the Blue Angels since September 2011.

The performance occurred July 11.

The Blue Angels will be at the Yankee Air Museum in Romulus Michigan (Willow Run) August 29th and 30th for the Thunder over Michigan air show.

Almost certainly not within regulation. When they do USNA graduation week air shows here their flight paths are strictly cleared of spectators on the river bank and in boats that must be anchored outside the low level zone

This after watching them barely skim our boat mast some years ago!

I had a Blue Angel fly right over my car while I was driving close to where they were practicing. It was probably 100 feet above me, it was really loud & cool.

Many years ago my FIL and I were were roofing a desert cabin he was building not far from George AFB and a fighter pilot buzzed us at about 3 or 400 feet from behind.

Never heard him coming but we sure heard him going, we laughed liked crazy, broke up the monotony.

When I was a teenager my dad was flying us along the Caprock in Texas one morning when two F4s came from behind our Cessna 150 and went one over and one below us at what must have been Mach speed. That was the coolest thing I ever saw. And heard :)
