I don’t know about other countries, but the proven stereotype of American female athletes is that most of them are lesbians. It does not matter if it is soccer, basketball, softball or other sport. And they attracted to other more masculine professions that including being a police officer and soldier.

Unfortunately, this is common in sports. The gender matters little these days, it seems to be what you determine your are. Our soccer players are either masculine or talented. Sometimes it overlaps. It does seem to be a problem understanding how we determine men and women these days.
Oh well, at least the “women” won the Cup! The best part is nobody can challenge the results as it would be too offensive - ie., non PC! The world is changing faster than we can absorb.
