I can see the Ad campaign now.
Take “Anarchy in the UK” and adjust the lyrics to “AK in the USA”.

The Kalashnikov USA web site provides a menu of two rifles and two shotguns, all semiautomatics. One of the rifles features a curved, banana-style high-capacity magazine with 30 rounds.

Yeah, the one with the "curved" magazine! That'S the REALLY dangerous one!

“Assault rifle”

Anything used as a weapon is an ‘assault’ weapon. “Assault rifle” is just a scary moniker the media and communists attached to any rifle that “looks scary.”

The only ones that are in use today are semi-auto, bolt-action, lever-action, and if you have $20,000 and a Class III permit, full-autos.

We need to take back the language. The communists have owned it for far too long. I think Ted Cruz should connect with John Lott and maybe get him to start stumping for him. I don’t remember the guy’s name from GOA, but maybe him too.

The company has not told CNNMoney where that factory is located.

Now that's weird. Wonder if it's a factory or if they'e subcontracting. I think Kalashnikov has started production in Venezuela as planned.

But why? The AK-47's and AK-74's are notorious for barrel climb when firing in full automatic mode. Reliable yes, but accurate, no.

Oh yeah, that ‘curved magazine’ really looks neat-o, doesn’t it?????

I bet after the local clusterbuck called ‘jade helm’ gets finished in your area, ya’s jus’ might want a few of those neat-o magazines!!!

Of course, though, the AK looks so much better in wood and steel, like the age-old-tried-and-true lever action rifle, before Mossberg brought out that abortive messy plastic version!

Please go to the linked Kalashnikov website and check out the specs for the US made rifle. Turns out the US version has a bolt that can be locked back. The older AKs and the VEPR II I had before the TBA did not allow the bolts to be locked back, a serious defect when cleaning and when at a range at cease fire time when weapons are supposed to be cleared and bolts to be locked back.

I believe Century Arms has been manufacturing a milled receiver version in the U.S., Nevada IIRC, for a couple of years now.

I heard that those Romanian AK’s use a stamped receiver. Are those made here machined? The Romanian ones I see at gun shows sure look cheaply made.

Isn’t 30 rounds the standard for AKs? They’re calling it high-capacity.

Mikhail Kalashnikov. Now there was a worthy enemy. And a darn clever engineer.
