Apple pulled all apps from the App Store with Confederate symbols such as the Battle Flag of the Confederacy Friday morning. Almost immediately, though, the company began backtracking by working with developers to reinstate apps that use such symbols for "educational or historical uses."

There has been a massive wave against those symbols throughout the U.S. in the aftermath of a racist terrorist attack in South Carolina that left nine people shot by a white supremacist. Apple CEO Tim Cook urged Americans to remove symbols of racism in a tweet many interpreted to be aimed at the Battle Flag of the Confederacy, in particular. Salesforce.com CEO Mark Benioff was another powerful tech executive who urged the same thing.
There was soon a tsunami of such sentiments as politicians on the left and the right made similar calls, and then retailersincluding giants like Amazon, Walmart, Ebay, Google Shopping, and even Etsymade the decision to pull such merchandise.
In that context. Apple was merely one more retailer to pull such products, but the App Store is a bit different from most retailers. In particular, the App Store has war games, educational apps, and history apps with confederate symbology where usage is not intended to propagate racist idealogy. Fortunately, the company was quick to recognize that, and it issued the following statement:
We have removed apps from the App Store that use the Confederate flag in offensive or mean-spirited ways, which is in violation of our guidelines. We are not removing apps that display the Confederate flag for educational or historical uses.
The company told TechCrunch that it is working with developers to quickly get apps that fall under that "educational or historical" umbrella reinstated. Games such as Ultimate General: Gettysburg, a war game, have not yet been reinstated as of this writing.
Red, I feel like we've just had an election and just lost every seat and every proposition. . . in a landslide through election fraud.
I am also done with Apple. I have been selling or giving away Apple products I bought before loudmouth Tim Kook took over. Android is just as good when it comes from a high quality manufacturer such as Samsung and LG.
Apple does great on snob appeal and people who want to show their superior social status by using their Fones and tablets in public. Beyond all this, Android gets work done. So who needs Crapple except for teenyboppers, trannies and gays?
Finally, DennisW, you pop in with your patented and copyrighted system of Anti-Apple hater Brigade lies. You have never bought or given away any Apple products. . . and you have a history on Apple threads of being a serial LIAR for yours.
TXnMA suggests you are on the payroll of M$ but Samsung has been doing FUD spreading with more dollars ($14 Billion in 2013) than Microsoft for years and Samsung's FUD campaigns coincides with your campaign of outrageous lies on Freerepublic much better.
It was Tim Cook who forced the Duke Boys to remove the Confederate flag from atop the General Lee and paint it over with an LBGT rainbow flag. And that’s why I don’t like or trust Apple.
And their $299 watches are no good either.
More lies from our serial liar, DennisW. Not one word of truth in the post, including his last sentence, because his reason for his hatred for Apple is predicated wrongly. He just hates, probably because he is paid to say he does. The basic problem with Dennis is that lying requires some semblance of truth to be believable. . . and his are so blatant that they are laughable.

Yee hawwww!!!! Drop dead Tim Kook and the rest of you gay commie rainbow bassturds!
You must be competing for ultimate fanboi and ultimate Tim Kook rump-swab
Just trying to understand your motivation.
