Just thought I would post today, and mention that Art Bell is returning to the air in one month.
That's all.

Sometime after his last (3rd?) marriage, he went off the deep end with global warming, and became unlistenable, imo.
Doing four hours of talk radio, every day, for years is grueling. You can have the best producers, but to do it without side-kicks or other “regulars” is brutal.
Like him or not, he deserves respect for that part of his job alone.
I’ve never heard his show. All I know about Bell is that he is big on UFOs and he married REALLY young women from the Philippines.
There probably is, but I am purposely not letting myself get too worked up about it- yet. Let’s just say when it comes to self promotion, Art Bell and Donald Trump have a lot in common.
You insulted dipshits
If it is too rough for him, he should go post on Orly's blog and work part time at Taco Bell.
Because a lot of time he isn’t listening.
One of the things about radio interviews is the host might ask a question and then go about doing half a dozen other things while the guest is answering.
It doesn’t happen all of the time, because he does ask follow ups. But sometimes its like he comes back in the room, sits down, and is surprised by what he is hearing.
Competition. One drive time guy I listened to was forbidden by the suits to mention satellite radio at all, so he called it the magic radio, usually in reference to the oldies stations and the like if somebody was in the news, like from dying.
Not that you bring it up, Stern caused a lot of problems when leaving for satellite radio, continually pimping his move (from CBS?).
Art Bell lost has last wife (from the Philippines) to athsma I think. It was pretty tragic.
It seems he finally rebounded when he met this lady, who is also Philippina.
Nothing untowards about either relationship.
Wow.
You must be the only person in the world who goes to work and gets it done every day, every minute without a mistake. Absolute perfection.
You should watch out. The last guy like that was nailed to a cross.
You’re thinking of Ted Bell. The owner of Ted’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills.
“It will be interesting to see how the Art Bell / George Noory situation plays out.
Theyre both good, but different.”
Back in 08 before the elections, Noory every night for the week shilled for obama at every commercial break. It was nauseating. At least Art keeps his politics to the minimum.
Sure, I’m not knocking Noory, I can totally see myself in his shoes. But he does sound bored, don’t you think? I think that may be why he is moving closer to Television now.
LOL - you nailed that one.
Art can sound soooo serious with true, looney-tunes guests.
That said, his interviews with Father Malachai Martin were downright riveting...and believable.
Two bonuses last year and hosted an in-house training seminar, so pretty much yeah.
You should watch out. The last guy like that was nailed to a cross.
I'll watch out for that, but I order the lumber and the nails and the labor so I'd pretty much see that coming.
You keep on with the Art Bell, though.. nut jobs are funny.
“ART BELL’S BROTHER DEAD, shortly after Jesse Ventura Interviews HIM a DR FRED BELL”
There are 6 comments on the CBC News story from Oct 23, 2011, titled ART BELL’S BROTHER DEAD, shortly after Jesse Ventura Interviews HIM a DR FRED BELL . In it, CBC News reports that:
They will be Uploading the INTERVIEW WITH ALEX JONES AND JESSE VENTURA ABOUT DR FRED BELL’S DEATH ...
Noory has a familiar approach to one of his favorite interview questions, and it tend to drive me a little batty.
George will describe some event or phenmomenon of unquantifiable speculation, then he will turn to ask his guest “So is this possible?” My innermind is screaming “Everything is POSSIBLE, George! Why not ask if it is PROBABLE!!!
Hell, you don’t listen to Coast to CoastAM to believe everything they say (though I’m sure lots of them do!). You listen for the entertainment, for the “what-if” factor, and for the imagination of the guests :).
I personally like the ghost/demon and bigfoot shows the best.
Dr. Fred Bell was a part of the Art Bell world.
We met one night when I stopped over at a happy hour to let L.A. traffice die down, before I carried on to my place in Del Mar, he and I became running buddies when he would come down from Los Angeles to San Diego, we were both very good with females at the time, and two very different guys, with totally different styles, including clothes, (he was an expensive suit type guy), it was interesting, but effective.
I never got a free Pyramid hat though.
