They teach “evolving” (ie, “case”) law,
and not Blackstone’s “fixed” law.
J. Christian Adams is an election lawyer who served in the Voting Rights Section at the U.S. Department of Justice. His New York Times bestselling book is Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department (Regnery). His website is www.electionlawcenter.com.
Harvard was founded by a Christian minister. I don’t believe they identify with that much anymore either.
Importantly, Harvard is actually two schools. Harvard law and Harvard college. The law school has the reputation. Harvard college is kind of “meh” academically, but its graduates try very hard to muddy the distinction between the two schools.
I’ve even met an arrogant cardiologist who frequently bragged that he got his medical degree at Harvard. Finally I put him on notice by saying, “Oh, you got a law degree at Harvard law, or *just* a medical degree at Harvard college?”
He tried to equate the two, so I said, “Well, I won’t hold it against you. I’m sure Howard (a traditionally black college) graduates competent medical doctors as well.”
We never spoke again.
“Islamic Law: Human Rights Advocacy in the Muslim World
After providing an introduction to Islamic law, the course will address difficult questions at the intersection of human rights law and some interpretations of Islamic law.
Fine. Islamic law number 1: all infidels are to be killed.
Islamic law number 2: all women who have been raped must be stoned to death.
Islamic law number 3: homosexuals must be tossed off a high building.
Did I get anything incorrect?
Shouldn’t that be “lever action”? Now if he wrote Mauser, Springfield, Remington, etc. instead of Winchester ...
“Harvard is to law what Winchester is to bolt actions.” I might have used a different analogy. Heard and interview on Lars Larson with the author yesterday and had to go back and look at some of the specifics. Does any of it surprise me anymore? NOPE! Clockwise down the drain we go. Wheeeeeee!
