The Married at First Sight star who fell in love with her 'unattractive' groom has revealed that they have also split - making them the reality show's third and final couple to part ways after meeting for the first time at the altar six months ago. On last night's episode of the FYI reality series' two-part reunion special, viewers were anxious to see if Jaclyn Methuen, 30, and Ryan Ranellone, 29, were still married. And while Ryan gushed about how wonderful his wife's relationship was with his mother and niece Kayla, fans soon learned that he had broken her heart just weeks after they vowed to stay married. 'I would have made any sacrifice to be with you,' Jaclyn told Ryan. 'I would have compromised. I would have split the time in Jersey and Long Island. I would have done anything to have made this relationship work.'

“ladies, would you say unattractive?”
I’d give him a solid 6.5, maybe a 7, voice is important and didn’t watch the vid so didn’t hear that.
She is a little tranny looking, to tell you the truth!
ttytt (can we use that?)
Who watches this shit? Just women? Gay men. I loathe reality TV. I have seen the listing for this show as I go round and round my “guide” trying to find something entertaining to watch, but I wouldn’t watch this show on a bet.
Who the heck watches this garbage. Has to be 100% female viewers. Just has to be.
Yeah, and they’re saying HE’S unattractive.
She looks like Sluggo in the pic
Kinda what I was thinking. You pressure wash all that war paint off and there’s no telling what kind of creature is under there.....Might need a whip a chair and a pistol.....or Holy water and a Cross. lol
+1
I just get the sense she thought she was doing something noble by dating the "unattractive guy".
That mindset should have had him running for the hills.

Could also be the "15 minutes of fame" factor.
Like Discovery Channel's, "Naked & Afraid".
The so-called “experts” should be ashamed for putting these people together. They had 7000 applicants and these 6 were the most compatible? No mention of political perspective and they lumped the couples’ theological leanings into yes-no camps about the existence of religion in their lives. One fellow had such obvious rage issues I thought he was going to beat his wife. And it turns out his idea of an ideal marriage was this grandparents’... And old grandpa was constantly telling grandma to “shut up”! They should have referred him to therapy instead of the altar!

I so don't get them, I've never watched them. Unless you count "COPS," back in the '90s.
I've never heard of "Naked & Afraid."
Does it have anything to do with high school girls locker rooms?
They walk in but they don't walk out.
I do like "48 Hours." But I watch it on YouTube.
They need three Jewish couples on the show.
I like comedy.
my thoughts exactly. I am sort of in the camp that this show is making the mockery of marriage. Yes, I know that there are arranged marriages, but this just seems weird. Hey, we're experts, let's put these two together for 6 weeks and see what happens. It makes marriage seem disposable after a 6 week test drive.
I am so glad I don’t watch television.
Decay in American culture doesn’t have a thing to do with this particular idiocy-until the last 300 years or so, some kind of arranged marriage was how the nobility/upper class did that sort of thing-and until well into the Middle Ages, English kings had the last word about which noble families married with each other-people were banished and even murdered for defying the marriage edict from a king.
The difference between that and this reality show appears to be that the people on the show have an easy way out of the thing-in the far past, there was no out but annulment or death...
A lot of Native American tribes from Canada to South America arranged marriages within the same tribes, which narrowed the gene pool till they became extinct.
I watched part of the show last night out of curiosity, and from the flashbacks I saw, I failed to see how any of those people would have been compatible-the “experts” didn’t consider things like living nearby one another/near work-a big deal for most people in big cities-personality, expectations, future plans, etc.
Even in Europe in the Middle Ages, most of those in arranged engagements got to see their prospective bride or groom-or at least a miniature portrait of him/her before the wedding. Maybe next time the producers should try that...
Some groups in the West still arrange marriages-I’ve read that Irish Travelers, and some Gypsy groups of Eastern European ancestry still do-but if I were doing a show like that, I’d certainly change a few things to raise the success rate-and the ratings...
That’s a HARD 30.
LMAO! Or chosen an Irish traveler or Roma Gypsy woman for him-they apparently are used to doing what their men tell them to...
but didnt a lot of those arranged marriages have an exchange of goods or a dowry or something?
