1. I’m resigned that I will never return to my original weight, but 7 pounds, 8 ounces is not realistic.
2. My last chance for a smoking hot body is my cremation.
Two humorous lines from the net recently.

If you don’t think it’s antibiotics, then watch a few pre-WW2 movies and notice how small everyone is.

Oh oh. The Democrats are in trouble. It used to be that they would run homosexuals in the military stories when they needed to distract people.

About the time the gov’t started pushing carbohydrates and corn syrup instead of proteins?

In Viẹt Nam in 2003 one did not see obesity or even "a little bit heavy" or even trim as we Americans might have thought it, except in Hà Nội and Sài Gòn and there it was only the occasional bureaucrat. In 200̃ I was surprised to see the first overweight child I had seen in VN, and that in a small town. By 2011 heavy was everywhere in the cities and a few percent in the small towns. Last year it lookd like Anytown, USA. The upper teenager cohorts have gotten taller pretty rapidly and boys routinely are taller than their fathers, same for girls and their mothers with a noticeable number of girls taller than their fathers. Diabetes has exploded in the country where 10 years ago it was an uncommon malady of the ruling class who were the only ones who dabbled with Western meals.

This is an average, not a median. All of the huge women are going to really bring up that average. There just weren’t a lot of 300 lb women in the 60s. Not uncommon today.

Women don’t care any more.

I weigh less than that now. I weigh about what I weighed when I exited the Air Force in 1970. I gained about 30 pounds of belly ten years ago but it scared me and I walked a lot of stairs and cut down on food until I lost the projection.Never again unless, of course, I lose the ability to walk,

From my observations, I’d like to see it broken down by race.

My Last Chance for a Smokin’ Hot Body......sounds good for a memorial stone.

Point is, obesity is NOT a disease. They want to make everything a disease today, so everybody is a victim and nobody has to be responsible. Obesity is caused by irresponsibly eating too much or too badly. It is a fundamental lack of will power, NOT a disease. That is the point.

I have a collection of photos I took at a Civil War reenactment. In one, the men are lined up in formation. Many bellies are hanging over the belts. Then I looked at some similar photos of the real thing. No hanging bellies to be found. Quite a contrast.
