Billionaire Bunkers: Exclusive Look Inside the World's Largest Planned Doomsday Escape
Frobes ^ | 6/12/05 | Jim Dobson

For the very first time, a modern day Noah’s Ark has opened its doors for an exclusive inside look offering up plans for the ultimate Billionaire bunker and doomsday escape.

Vivos founder and CEO Robert Vicino announced Vivos Europa One which will be an invitation only, five star, underground survival complex, similar to an underground cruise ship for the elite. Each family will be provided a private 2,500 square foot of floor area, capable of two story improvements for a total of 5,000 square feet of private living quarters. With fit and finish comparable to a mega-yacht, each member family will hire their own architect and contractor to build out their living quarters to the custom standard they desire.

They don’t say where it is but we know from the article that it is in a limestone mountain which is near a major highway and has a railroad spur or spurs.

Unless these people are right with God their precious underground bunkers will before long be nothing more than very elaborate tombs.”

Can you imagine the arguments among the egos in that place? Everyone would want to be in charge.

Thank-you. Horrifying about Belize City. We want to explore the Cayo District, which the writer did not have time to explore, although, he liked the terrain. Interesting about the okay beaches. I liked his photographs to tell his story.

Thank-you.

I found this response on Best Places very intriguing as a conservative:

Let’s put it this way: I am not coming back.

Living in Belize is living in freedom. It’s like living in the US in the 50’s or 60’s when nobody bothers you. You have friends if you are friendly. If you are an idiot, you’re an idiot and you’ll find that you don’t want to live here...

That will be a good day especially in Soro’s case

I just read an article about the good and the bad of Belize. Just in case you want to compare notes with the author, if you haven’t already read it:

The same can be said for Costa Rica. I have experienced it in depth up close and personal, and my assessment: A third world country with a thin veneer of advanced First World glitz...
With some primitive unexpected issues that are hard to believe. Like the 40% of the crowded Capital that uses septic systems. Outside of the capital it's worse. Unless you can choose to and can afford to live in a modern hotel permanently!

Even then you can expect facilities that we take for granted to be unavailable for days at a time.

A good shelter is one thing.

The extravagant waste of what they are pushing is another.

Meanwhile.....

We are planning to take a trip to Belize later this year to look at possible second home/ retirement/ bug out.

Corruption is a major problem in Belize.

What is creepy about that link is the comments after the article.
Scary and hopeless, is more like it.
Comments made by children, or children in adult bodies : "why don't they make housing for the homeless in those places?"

It's enough to make an normal adult cry...

If/when they emerge from their bunker they’ll find that they are now the poorest people in town.

It looks like the set on Captain America where they’re filming what’s-his-name. It *is* in Germany.

It’s interesting that some of these “Third World” countries have some North American First World values, but from the 50s and 60s. Smaller government, individual initiative, etc.

To be fair, its probably not that these governments in places like Belize don’t want to be as totalitarian as the Left in the US wants to be; they just don’t have the resources. Therefore, they have smaller government and, on a day to day basis, WAY more freedom.

As part of this (speaking about Belize), their legal system is so clogged up that almost no one uses it. And here, my fellow freedom lovers is the best part— the Belize legal system is “loser pays”. And if the losing client doesn’t have the money to pay, the Belizean court makes the attorney of the loser pay. Therefore, they don’t have silly lawsuits.

Anyway, the site that lulu16 refers to has a special section just on gun rights and prepping for several countries, not just Belize: https://bestplacesintheworldtoretire.com/questions-and-answers/related/group-63: It turns out that Panama is a pretty good place for preppers as well, away from the city.

Be sure to check on health care and medicine availability. I have a FRiend who used to spend a fair amount of time down there, and though he liked Belize, when he got into his early 70s, he quit going because the health care is (or was then) kinda sketchy.

I am very interested in medical tourism. It is socialized medicine in Belize and the good healthcare appears to be only in Belize (Craphole) City.

If Panama was smart, they would incorporate hospitals and retirement communities like they do here in Southern AZ.

Just got back from dinner with my husband, and we ran into a doc he used to work with. The doctor said he stopped going to Guatemala to do charitable work because one of the buses that was in his convey went to the next destination without police escort and they were robbed and one doctor was killed for giving the robbers gruff.

The authorities escorted the doctodrs to the American embassy and they slept on the floor because the robbers took their passports as well as valuables and money. In Guatemala, you have to have your passport on your person (he kept his down his shirt) or they arrest you.

The doc did not see the irony with how the illegals are treated and expected to be treated when they trespass here.
