Honda once made a six cylinder motorcycle race engine that revved to nearly 19,000 rpm. The sound was an incredible shriek. One auto journalists compared the sound to a panther passing a kidney stone.

I gotta tell you, this IS my phobia... getting a kidney stone. I've heard the stories and it scares the crap out of me.
Even my dad told me he'd almost rather die than go through it again... and this guy has a pain threshold like no other, I swear he's a machine

Did you ask the doctor what kind of stone it is? There are a couple of different kinds. Knowing the kind of stone might help you avoid getting them in the future.

I know a woman who had a kidney stone. She didn’t know what it was and thought she was dying. She asked the very young EMT in the ambulance if she was dying. She said he looked about 15 y.o. He looked at her and said, “We’re not allowed to answer questions like that.” She was sure then that she was dying.
At the hospital they told her she had a kidney stone and she was passing it. Unfortunately the one they saw on the X-ray was the second one. She had that one two weeks late.

Yeah me as well, after seeing what this guy in my taxi went through it scared the crap out of me. I remember he was yelling so much people on the street were stopping to look as I drove by. I thought he was faking at first but you can’t fake that pain, it must feel like your guts are getting ripped up.
