I’m part of the Android market now. I wanted the first one when they were first coming out in 2008, finally have one now.
It’s a good phone, and I’m not attached to it like many millions of people. My only gripe with it is the battery life. I don’t really use it much but the battery only lasts for a few days essentially being on standby.
Good; Mozilla fired its CEO, Brendan Eich for his support of California Proposition 8. Hopefully, they are hurt badly.
Best known for their browser and operating system? I didn’t even know they had an OS in the hunt. Sure, I knew about Firefox, but not an OS. I consider myself reasonable current and tech-savvy. Maybe that’s a part of their problem - few people realize there is yet another OS out there. Maybe that’s part of their problem too, it is simply yet another OS...
Maybe they will stop the insane rapid updates.
I quit updating around version 15, as many of the extention developers quit updating their extensions — due to the FF rapid update philosophy.
I did try Palemoon, but it ran into the same problem with no-longer-developed extensions between its version 24 and 25.
I am now using another rendition that uses the Mozilla engine: Cyberfox from 8pecxstudios.
