Today is both #FlashbackFriday and, according to Chicago's WGN network, the 30th anniversary of Ferris Bueller's quintessential "day off." Apparently, they figured this out not by determining the date of the Von Steuben day parade (that's actually in September), but by the date of the Chicago Cubs game Ferris and company attend as part of their Chicago adventure.
To celebrate at the Spectator, you can do a little #FlashbackFriday of your own. A few months ago, our very own Ben Stein, who delivers an iconic attendance roll (and lecture on the Laffer Curve to a classroom of sleepy kids), detailed in an essay how he came to be Bueller's least-favorite teacher.

Then, I went on stage to do a voiceovernot on cameraof my taking the roll. Adams, Adamley, Adamowski, Bueller, Bueller, Bueller, Bueller The high school age extras screamed with laughter and so did John.

Because you often have smart ass comments like the one you made and it never has any indication of truth or back up, just a continuous piss poor attitude of someone that comes on here and makes silly little flippant remarks that add nothing to the discussion other than get some people to shake there head and when someone calls you on it there are those of us that agree and are happy to chime in. Furthermore you gave just that comment - there was no fact, I like to read what he writes and about Ben Stein, I have enjoyed reading his thoughts and at times agreeing or disagreeing with him - I came to this thread for that reason so the fact you used as to why I was here is wrong.
Yes, endorsing and supporting Al Franken for the Senate, and attacking the GOP ticket in the year of Obama running for president, along with attacking Reagan’s tax cuts, and other things, does mark him as a rino.
Regardless of what you would want us to believe, liberal republicans do exist, even the kind that help elect Al Frankens.
I stated a fact in post 3, a fact widely recognized here, and I am always ready to support my statements, on this thread I did in post 15.
There is no need for you to get on threads to launch personal attacks on freepers, in fact, it is discouraged.
Once again I did not come on this thread to insult you, you can keep putting up these false what you call facts but that does not make them facts they are opinions.
Now that you mention it, I think you are right. I count him as one of the good guys.
Many a true word is said in jest. I have long noted that socialism/communism appears to be a distorted version of Christianity. This looking out for your brother and focus on "equality" uber alles does have it's roots in Christian doctrine.
Much of the progressive movement started out as religious campaigners, such as the Temperance movement. Others have noted that the Puritans of Massachusetts have turned into just as fanatical modern day witch hunters but with government as their new god.
BUEHLER...! BUEHLER...!
Not with me, but on very thread you’re on.
I’m not selling you anything. You’re a jerk, but you like that.
very = every
It’s funny that the guy that is actually trolling, is attacking normal posters.
I made a relevant and accurate post on Ben Stein, a man whose column I read for many years as a subscriber to American Spectator, followed by more relevant posts, while you are the angry troll who jumped on the thread to post a personal insult, and who obviously carries personal grudges from thread to thread.
And who is STILL whining and making personal attacks, hours later.
The personal attacks in the name of this grudge you carry from some past thread, appear to be your only reason to have jumped onto this thread.
