Caracas One of the many byproducts of Venezuelas acute political and financial crisis is food truck looting, a pattern that is plaguing the countrys highways with chaos and fear.
Just last week, some 200 looters swarmed into an overturned tractor-trailer carrying canned juice men, women and children were seen taking as many boxes of juice as they could, either by foot or on motorcycles.
Drivers and even emergency personnel just stood by, unaffected.
"The two Venezuelas" (Las dos Venezuelas), a catchphrase so commonly used here these days to describe the rift between the poor and the middle or upper class, were exposed in broad daylight for everyone to see: the looters and the citizens.
This time, looters refrained from attacking the grid-locked cars, something that has happened in the past, and they didnt even take issue with the reporters covering the crash and the ensuing mayhem. We are the ones we've been waiting for.
I bet they wish they had 23 brands of deoderant!
Even with full socialism, the poor are still poor and unequal. What's the point in Obama's efforts to bring the rich down to the level of his voters (except, obviously, so his people can control the loot)?
Venezuela 2015 = America 2025.
Every university professor in the US should be sent to North Korea or Venezuela for a year.

Post of the day. However, I would include every liberal/socialist/communist supporter. Hell, just send them all to Venezuela, the latest land of Utopia. That totalitarian society is working out so well. /s
They'd come back even more fired up with their delusions about a socialist paradise. The left is all for keeping the common folk beaten down, so long as THEY'RE part of the ruling clique.
Darn uno percenters.
I have thought that if I was young it would be good to go to Greece for a couple of years to see how it works, then when you come back you would be better prepared for the US fall and maybe see some opportunities most people could not see. Caracas is even closer and they play very good baseball.
Every socialist country that has ever existed produced a domestic nomenklatura. Socialism is not about equality. It is about central economic planning, the ultimate form of power.
Oliver Stone, Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Michael Moore, and many more.
Exactly right. “They didn’t do it right.” Or, some external event upended their otherwise great plan. Or 1,000 other reasons why it didn’t work out well “there” but will here.
It all over. The only thing left now is the wait until the country descends into sheer anarchy. It will be brutal.
It’s just a matter of time.
Well, they can enjoy a big plate of cooked grass with their North Korean host family.
Or they can wipe their behinds with leaves while they stay with their Venezuelan host family.
Either way, I’m all for education. Especially educating our university professors.
