[Vanity] How many conservatives would it take to flip Vermont?
me
Posted on 06/03/2015 5:31:47 PM PDT by Suz in AZ
I was pondering and found that Vermont has a population of only 626,000 with 17% more Ds than Rs. If conservatives were to move there from another state, how many would be needed to flip the state red?

Libertarians trying the same thing in New Hampster.
And it's a failure. They're vastly outnumbered by the lefties escaping Mass., NY, and Vermont!
Not too long ago, NH was like Idaho and Utah politically. Now, it's "purple".

Thanks for posting that. It won’t happen within five years, but I am pondering plans to escape Taxumchusetts someday and NH is on the list of possibilities.

Statehood should be taken from Vermont and the rest of the city-states in the area. They should be joined onto some adjacent state, or all aggregated into one state. That would take a few lib. Senators out, a very good thing.

Or be like a Dhimmicrat and be buried there to vote.

Great.
Another math question.
Let’s see.
Is it not done enough on one side?
I say we hire Larry, Daryl and Daryl to work public relations.

'Free State Project'? ROTFLMAO epic fail...on their website; they ask potential new residents to consider LEBANON as a great place to live. LEBANON? One of the most expensive towns in all of Red Hampshire? Not to mention of the few places I have ever been to that is to the LEFT of Berkeley.
Why try to flip a Red England state? They are ALL a lost cause...if you are thinking of moving there; don't.

Ohio doesn't need flipping. It has a gop governor, majority republican state government, a majority gop caucus in the House, and one gop senator. Not bad.
To: Henry Hnyellar
Why bother? Its a whopping 3 electoral votes. They have the same number of Senators as California.

"many liberal(s)...moved there"
That would be an interesting stat. to see. How many libs have moved to Vermont in the last fifty years.

George 3rd created the boundary between NY & NH which gave the VT counties to NY; NY should reclaim them. One of the reasons VT was admitted to the union was to balance KY as a slave state. Well, there’s no need to worry about that anymore with the first black president (in so far as black slavery goes)
Better yet, cede VT to Quebec. The people in the northern counties speak French.

We are past the tipping point on demographics nation wide. Elections at this point are going to go against us. Our last gasp might be 2016. After that - we are done.
We need to start wrapping our minds around civil war. We need to start organizing.

Why? Who in their right mind would move from Texas (or any other free state) to a Communist controlled viper pit? I remember Vermont before the Communist revolution by the refugees from NY, Ma, Ct, etc.

That is nice of you to say that. All too often people on this forum wish all kinds of evil on everyone who lives in a blue state.
Pretty nasty holier-than-thou attitude from some.
Conservatives are largely an echo up there now.
