It's not my job, but I wanted to put this out there in FReeperland:
It is taking almost the full quarter of the FReepathon to reach its goal of $88k. On the FR home page it says: "Over 300,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic since inception in 1996 "
So, why is it that only certain people are willing to put out the money to keep the doors open? Are the rest of the 300,000 liberals and democrats, who are here just to spy on us?
Seriously folks, if everyone put up a dollar, FR would have no need for a FReepathon.
Think about that.
Let's try to do better next quarter.
Jim and Moderators: Sorry for stepping into your territory.
Bump and agree.
If FR had to close up shop, I imagine a lot of folks would miss it...and wish they had loosened up the wallets a little.
Thanks. I share your frustration. These things are going so long now. Yeah, I know a lot of people don’t have a lot of discretionary income, but nothing?? Ya can’t throw $10 bucks in the pot?
yes. thank you.
As most use online banking, setting up a recurring monthly donation of whatever you can afford is the easiest and simplest way to support Fee Republic.
Yes, even $1 or $5 could make it happen.
That’s a good idea.
Bump.
thank you for the bump

LOL. Ahem, a little extreme, me thinks.
I've often thought that unless you are a contributing member of Free Republic, you should not be allowed to post a thread. Reply? Sure. But leave the postings to those who invest.
Would that severely limit the number of threads? And would fewer threads lead to less FReeping which would....?
Hmmm, worth the thought. Did you put the suggestion to Jim or John?
Bump y’all
