At least, in the original cut of the movie, we got a long speech at the end by Rambo about how he got treated by the hippies and lefties when he came home (what right do they have to protest ME??) The last time I saw First Blood on network TV, they cut out that speech. Typical. They filmed an alternate scene where it ended in suicide. They decided to let him live when they considered the potential franchise.

It was supposed to be a comic scene.

Two of my favs.
I know “AVTAK” gets panned by Bondiacs, but it’s a guilty pleasure for me.
And “Rambo” was and still is f***ing awesome!!!
God, the 80s were good. Now they seem like they existed in some alternate universe.

I’m kind of half kidding, I enjoyed the movie like everyone else, because of the action, but...., but I do have very mixed feelings about it, and the actor.

No, that’s the real universe. THIS is bizarro universe where up is down, right is wrong.

Is it me, or does it sort of look as if James Bond is about to make it with the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air?

No, that would be “Invasion USA” and “Rocky IV” and “White Knights”.

I graduated high school in 1985. I remember seeing those films with my buddy in the local theater back then. We still hang out, been hanging together since 1976. Dang, I feel so old myself, 1985 wasn't so long ago to me, yet it really is, especially since I lost Mom a year and a half ago along with having that halfwit in the white hut. As I type, I am watching "Welcome Back Kotter" which was a decade earlier and I saw it as a kid. BTW, "Back to the Future came out in 1985 and I also saw "D.A.R.Y.L." then too. BTW, know what D.A.R.Y.L. stood for?

Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer to the end you get, the faster it goes.

I remember reading the book "First Blood" (by David Morrell - how is it I remember the author's name?) and thinking what a cool movie it would make.
But then again, I remember my cousin Hedrick telling me about this movie they were making in which the world was ruled by apes! 😵

1985 ‘Back to the Future’ movie went back to 1955.
Now it is 2015. Nostalgia takes us back to 1985.
I can’t imagine 1985 nostalgia that compares.

Agreed. B-( I feel that way too. My only consolation is I still watch the same TV set today as I did then, my 1982 Zenith. B-) Before Mom passed, we found the bill of sale, April 4th, 1983 and it's been in use since then. I remember the TV then, NBC was on top.

Another movie I love. My grandad and I watch the first one several time together. He tells me how it was back then.
