At the South Carolina Freedom Summit, Donald Trump said that he would impose a hefty 35 percent tariff on American multinational corporations like Ford Motor Company, in order to stop outsourcing to China and elsewhere. According to the Economic Policy Institute, between 2001 and 2013 the U.S. trade deficit with China cost 3.2 million jobs, with the majority of the losses coming from the manufacturing sector.

Having ADP do your payroll is NOT the same as having your manufacturing done in China. Can't expect the morons at the Puffington Host to get that.
That is a stupid idea.
How about we lower the cost of doing business in America, not raising it?
Will he cut off the h1b and other visas so Americans can have their jobs back? What about IT companies outsourcing to India, the Philappines and South America?
All I am saying is this:
One generation ago, America was unquestionable the world leader in many, many ways.
One short generation later, we have shipped most of our once-magnificant manufacturing base to a massive communist country, given up the global lead in manufacturing, we now import 342 billion dollars more from China then we export to China, and that is getting even worse this year.
We have ruined our economy, and no longer even own the factories.
We are going BACKWARDS.
The problem is yet simpler: Donald Trump is a bald-faced liar. He can't pass the 'Wal*Mart test', but demands that others do.
Donald Trump outsources his clothing line for Macy's to China, Mexico, and Bangladesh while flapping his gums about ending outsourcing.

This is not how serious candidates do business. This is what helped get Obama elected. Trump is using a faux-conservative platform to bolster his own bottom line. It does nothing to help conservatives.
LOL, what a complete shyster.
This TTP/TPA Obama trade deal is a trojan horse. Its disguised as free trade What It really allows is for Obama to flood the USA with unlimited number of immigrants and to destroy the rest of U.S industry...

Its Obamatrade but also Obama Amnesty to all the 3rd world.
This Fast track gives Obama power to make treaties that override U.S. laws. Soros wrote a book on how to do this. So these conservative Senators are voting to give Obama power to rewrite all U.S. laws because treaties override U.S. laws. It’s the destruction of the republic. Proof here :

"I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With todays Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record."

What part of that is even the tiniest bit conservative?

That's an excellent question. I wonder if the person who posted the thread would like to weigh in.
The MBA’s employed by the multinational corporations are as big an existential threat to American citizenry as the CPUSA.
Always working to squeeze blood from a stone, these VULTURES are constantly looking to GYP the AMERICAN WORKER to maximize profit at the expense of NATIONAL SECURITY and OUR MANUFACTURING BASE.
Not to mention companies like ATT and American Express outsourcing Customer service to India and the Philippines.
Trump is standing up for the American Worker from a common sense perspective.
His voice this election cycle will be key.
“We can still produce every thing we’ll ever need... “
When I was a kid we produced everything we needed including all clothing. I had two shirts, two pairs of pants, two pairs of underwear and a handful of socks that probably came from my father’s castoffs. Clothing was expensive. Now imagine making everything essentially too expensive for the average man to buy. How long would the voters put up with that? Also, there are things we can’t make right away. For example, most microcircuits are made offshore. When I worked on classified projects in the ‘80’s there was a requirement to buy only American made stuff. It was impossible. Then there are rare elements that aren’t here in commercial quantities, or are in protected lands like parks. It’s not realistic to think we could transition back and that the government responsible would continue in power.
That’s like Steve Ballmer and Doc Rivers planning a Clippers triumphal parade through downtown Los Angeles. Except at least the Clips might win a championship someday.
You ask an excellent question, CofA.
CNN, care to answer why you are promoting someone who wants to ban guns?
We know Trump wasn’t ‘misquoted’, since it is in a book he wrote.
Ah, I forgot to mention something else. There’s a huge not-in-my-back-yard movement in America and the world. These people love their Prius, Apple Watch, iPhone, Starbucks, chocolate and other luxuries but they don’t want the industry that creates those things visible. (Actually, they don’t want the industry to exist at all, but they don’t connect all the things they see as making life livable with the things they love to hate.)
This movement, a mutated remnant of Marxism is very much alive. It has metastasized into dozens of special purpose NIMBY governmental enforcers like the EPA, OSHA, NLRB and a host of non-governmental groups like The Sierra Club and Greenpeace. That’s a huge well funded infrastructure that would act as a sea anchor against permitting a single new industry on American soil. Is it realistic to think that the government who raised all prices across the board, who possibly collapsed the American economy would survive long against the combined weight of its own regulatory structure, angry people and well funded Marxists?
And then there are the would be workers. They’ve been living off the government’s teat for a generation or more. What would happen when we took away their teat and told them they had to work for their Obama phones and EBT cards? My sister did taxes for 20 years. She had numerous clients who stopped working, sometimes six months before the year ended...so they could maximize their government tax credits. There are darned few motivated workers left. This isn’t America in 1939 anymore.
The Donald needs to outsource his hair.
I do not believe Donald Trump in any way wants to “ban guns”.
I am not entirely happy with his position as stated by one poster, in regards to assault weapon laws, but I do not believe he has come out strongly in regards to those laws.
He is almost alone in himself actually having a license to carry in New York, I believe (a rare individual) and appears to mostly strongly supports Americans’ right to keep and bear arms.
He has on occassion been a bit squishy about assault weapons. I agree with you in that regard, and I strongly advise Trump NOT to go that route.
But he’s not a gun banner.
Very well said.
I agree completely.
Nobody is standing up. If someone runs on trade, they will give Donald competition, but nobody in either party is standing up.
Donald has this entire subject entirely wrapped, at the moment.
Only 10% of the manufacturing work force is in a union so it would be a tiny ovation.
We already pay tariffs in every country we export to. Do you really think that there is free trade? BWahahahahahahaha.
