Keeping it light - and funny - this week. 2 hours' worth of Three Stooges shorts.
(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...
Nope. At least one more did. :-)
I loved them back then and still do.
:)
Cannot go wrong with the 3 Stooges
Moe Howard, Ted Knight and Mike Douglas get into a pie fight on the Mike Douglas Show. Moe was 76 and he was still Moe => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_METTgPnSWY
Well, the Ritz Brothers headlined a number of films at Fox, and then at Universal. But I could just never really get into them, despite the fact I’m quite partial to old-time comedy. Another comedian that always left me flat was Ben Blue. And to a lesser extent, El Brendel. Joe Penner is also a rather acquired taste.
But most I tend to like... Laurel and Hardy, WC Fields, Abbott and Costello, Marx Brothers, Wheeler and Woolsey, Eddie Cantor, Judy Canova, Olsen and Johnson, Joe E. Brown, Jack Benny, Charley Chase, Clark and McCullough, and such.
Ha! Ha! That’s great!
I introduced my kids to Three Stooges videos when they were around 3 I think. I wasn’t sure they ‘got’ it until one day, my daughter was ‘fishing’ with her toy fishing rod off the bed. I heard her from the other room say: “...go back and get your big brudder!...”
I couldn’t have been prouder. She’s 17 and still asks me when the next Stooge festivals are coming to our local organ theater.
I watched “The Apartment “ tonight based on a previous post that recommended it. I enjoyed it, especially seeing Fred McMurray play such a lech. However, I can’t force myself to watch the Three Stooges. Ever.
btw, my ex - their mother just HATES that they like the Stooges! ha! ha!
Wake up and go to sleep.
Here I am - a female who loves the 3 Stooges =) I loved watching the 3 Stooges once I got home from school as a kid. I would sit in front of the TV (no remote control / rabbit ears) and enjoy. I still do these days. My goal is one day purchase the DVD collection of the 3 Stooges and also Popeye, Speed Racer lol.
Interesting it seems people yearn for the tv shows of yesteryear. I just discover a new channel KPIXD which is Decade Channel and right now as I’m typing they are showing a marathon of Dark Shadows then tomorrow it is the Twilight Zone marathon. Wooohoooo!!!
Awwww. The good ol’ days. (sigh)
My grandmother loved them. She was Jewish and born and raised in Brooklyn, just like the Howard brothers were, so maybe that was part of it, but she really enjoyed watching them with us.
By the 1950s the Three Stooges had lost their popularity when a guy named Paul Shannon started showing the Three Stooges shorts during his kids’ program locally. Shannon and others were credited with reviving the Three Stooges’ careers.
I’m a big Shemp fan. Curly was great, but my Grandfather did Shemp stuff!

Wake up and go to sleep.
I remember them saying that. LOL
Drop the vernacular!
“Niagara Falls!”
Coitantly!
