Luxury car-maker Bentley last year shot an ad for the Mulsanne (a mere $298,000 to you, Sir) on the iPhone 5s and iPad Air, and has this year upgraded to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Its new ad is for a driving jacket rather than a car, and it has again produced a behind-the-scenes video (below) showing the kit and software used
The latest video features four Saville Row tailors, each of which has created a bespoke jacket commissioned by Bentley for a Saville Row Bespoke exhibition in Washington.
The video was shot with a mix of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus phones, FiLMiC Pro software for a film-like look. As always with professional films shot with the iPhone, dont expect to be able to replicate the results at home. Aside from the skill of director Austin Reza and his team, theres also a lot of steadicam type mounts and pro lenses used.
The behind-the-scenes video opens with a look back at the previous Mulsanne ad before moving onto the Saville Row film.
Weve previously seen a Sundance Film Festival hit movie shot with the iPhone 5s and FiLMiC Pro

Ive got a camera model Canon 5D II...which was used to video thelast episode of a broadcast television program
I wish I could remember which show it was.
Very impressive video.
I have an iPhone 6 and am just amazed at the quality of both the images and video that it produces. I have a very expensive Sony camcorder and a pretty pricey Sony RX 100 that are mostly gathering dust. They’re better than the iPhone 6 but not by a mile.
It would not be my first Bentley. I can handle any iteration of Leica or F-series with ease... But I am not interested in buying a car because a particular system shot it. (Maybe it’s because I am racist?)
Want!
Now, who do I have to kill?
Who do you have to kill?
At least a half-dozen oil sheiks, plus fifteen or twenty bored “children” of Russian Mafia types.
For starters.
(Don’t worry about competition from me, though. One, I wouldn’t spend that much for transportation...except for maybe an airplane....and Two, that car doesn’t do much for me except maybe remind me of a 1950 Packard...which I didn’t like either.)
It’s not transportation.
It’s for picking up chicks and fun!
I have gone the way of the GH4 Lumix. Nice 4K at an affordable price.
Hated in a way to leave Canon but they didn’t make an affordable 4K body.
The GH4 is jam packed with features and I am still playing with it.
Now if only some of it would sell....
I use my canon almost exclusively for shooting still photographs. the video was a “free” bonus that ive used twice.
My fist real digital camera was a leica-sonic...a Leica dlux-2which is basically a lumix camera with a leica “badge”. Great lens.
I don’t really do stills much any more. When I had a smugmug gallery, there were a great many. I shut it down as a budget item.
Once in a great while I will send something to Zazzle for the store.
Most everything else is video for Shutterstock and Fotolia. I miss producing things from the decade I was in TV but not much else. It is a hobby that sometimes makes a few bucks. 4K format has a good payout assuming I ever sell one. Only had it since Christmas.
Thanks.
