DENVER (Reuters) - Police in Colorado have cited a 37-year-old man for carrying his computer into an alley then shooting it eight times with a handgun after what authorities said had been a long battle with the uncooperative machine.
Lucas Hinch was cited for discharging a firearm within city limits after officers responded to a "shots fired" call early on Monday evening, the Colorado Springs Police Department said in a statement.
"Investigation revealed a resident was fed up with fighting his computer for the last several months," said the statement, entitled "Man Kills His Computer."

Not Guilty by reason of sanity.
I can relate but it’s better to fix it by running the correct diagnostic program that to kill the computer.
Maybe it really was the blue screen of death.

Is that when you uninstall Windows and go to Linux? Or is that when you toss the Windows computer out the Window? That seems like some sort of a defenestration within a defenestration.
M112 block of C4 dual primed ...... I’ve seen me do it....:o)
Remove your personnel info and then leave it at the end of the driveway so it can curse someone else
20 minutes later, he called Tech Support to ask how to get his data off the computer. Then he got mad because he couldn’t get to the data.
May his tribe increase like we all know it’s going to.

That may be a case of double-paned defenestration!
Now that was a real power point presentation.
Gee. Thanks.
Musta been Windows 8. Just recently “upgraded” myownself.
I can understand him going ballistic.
Lol
When my hubby died, I wanted to toss his computer , but I knew that the mother board and hard drive had to be destroyed separately.
The mother board succumbed instantly, but the hard drive was another matter entirely.
Out in the driveway with a hammer, and a sprained shoulder later, I learned why it is called a “Hard” drive.
Had I my current arsenal back then, I probably would have used the same method as this poor fellow!
Cray computers are shot with .30-40 Kray.(if you’re cray cray)
Probably a loose power cord.....
Justifiable Computacide...........I’d vote Not guilty!...........
you beat me to it
