MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (AP) — Sameer Mohiuddin grew more confused by the second as panelists speaking at his Southern California mosque trumpeted a new national initiative to prevent violent extremism.
Mohiuddin, 39, is an American citizen, longtime Californian and a vice president at a technology company. His wife was born and raised in Orange County, and they have three children. Why, he wondered, do his family and others like his even figure into the conversation?

Why is profiling such a dirty word among liberals??
Blacks commit a disproportionate amount of crime. This is a fact, not a bigoted statement.
Muslims commit a disproportionate amount of terror and violence in the world. This is a fact, not a bigoted statement.
If we have finite and limited resources to fight crime and terrorism, doesn’t it make sense to use profiling to direct those resources into areas where they will make the biggest impact and provide the greatest results??
Mostly that . . . but also the fact that your local Christian Church and Jewish Synagogue doesn’t double as an armory and munitions warehouse.

He and his family may not be terrorists, but that does not diminish the fact that the vast majority of terrorists are Muslim.

Gee, I wonder why Muslims feel profiled when it comes to terrorism?
When I see a Muslim I see a threat. Period.
The day I hear that all of Islam is united in renouncing global conquest and the murder and subjugation of everyone else I will be happy to change my mind.
Until then There are two kinds of Muslims to me:
1. Those that are trying to kill other people.
2. Those that openly or covertly support them.
Why would I give a tin sh_t about what the muslimes feel? If they’re offended, they can always go back to the liberated hellholes they came from. I’m sure they’ll have much more freedom there.
I think the Muslims need to ask themselves why we had the 9/11 attacks (one of way too many!) and the ugly political turmoil in much of the Middle East. Now you know why non-Muslims are suspicious of Muslims.

If he doesn’t like it maybe he should take it up with all the Muslim terrorists who make such methods necessary.
In a sane world, our first step in tacking the threat posed by large numbers of Muslims would be to stop importing large numbers of Muslims.

it’s called “Privilege”, by those who do it.
The Muslims figured out that the left has created an atmosphere in which any opposition is neutered when you cry “racism!”
Seriously, in World War I and II, Germans came under heightened scrutiny, and were regularly “profiled”. The German-Americans didn’t enjoy this, but they understood it, because America was at war with Germany.
Importantly, only a minority of Germans *in Germany* were Nazis. And Nazism wasn’t limited to Germany, it was widespread, in many countries, including Britain and the US, but it was *always* a minority.
So was it fair to profile people of German ancestry?
In World War I, it was often unfair, because the *public* were allowed to abuse and demean German Americans. But by World War II, the public was less inclined to do this, as the government kept watch on German Americans with the use of profiling.
As long as German Americans behaved themselves, this extra scrutiny was not abusive. But if German Americans in any way showed support or encouragement to the German government, Nazism, *or* opposition to the war, the US government would quickly arrest them.
And there is nothing wrong, whatsoever, from using similar rules for Muslims living in the US. Pretending that profiling is “bad” because it was misused against black Americans in the 1960s has no bearing at all on profiling Muslims for public safety reasons.
If Muslims behave themselves, the public should not be allowed to harass them. However, if they speak in support of terrorist organization or terrorism, contribute money to such, or otherwise engage in anti-American behavior, then they should be immediately arrested, with a strong possibility of deportation if they are not naturalized citizens.
