As reported by Kristinn Taylor at Gateway Pundit "Alix Bryan, a social media employee with WTVR-TV, the CBS affiliate in Richmond, Virginia, is being investigated by station management for filing a false fraud report to GoFundMe against Memories Pizza"
GoFundMe is an online fundraising tool that was being used on behalf of the restaurant. The restaurant had been forced to close due to threats that were made after stating that, while they would serve gay customers, they would not cater a homosexual wedding.
What is strange about Ms. Bryan worrying about the misuse of GoFundMe is that she used the same service to finance a free trip for herself to Las Vegas.
The GoFundMe page has since been removed but her article about the experience : "What it’s like to crowdsource a birthday dinner at é by José Andrés" is still active as of this evening.
In her article she had some reservations using GoFundMe in such a manner, getting a free Vegas trip, and said she felt "greedy, stupid and desperate." She went on to rationalize that she had done a lot of work for the less fortunate and did not need to feel guilty. Below is a screenshot of her thoughts:
It seems her station eventually forced her to apologize but has not announced any other action. A previous tweet by Ms. Bryan sums it up best..."WOW":
As for her recent silence on twitter and refusal to answer questions?

I belong to a group on Facebook called You Grew Up In _____ And Remember When........ A gal on there set up a GoFundMe to pay for her wedding and kept posting it. I told her to stop begging the group for money the other day. She told me I need more God in my life! Lol. I said....apparently you need more money in yours.
I’d be ashamed to beg people for money for something trivial.
She knew her own reasons were rotten and selfish, and simply assumed that OTHERS, too, are as rotten and selfish as she is.
This makes a lot of sense.
ANYONE seeing fit to employ her after this should be exposed —the hiring decision should be made very expensive.
