Is this the most Canadian picture ever?

When you think of iconic Canadian symbols, there are a few things that may come to mind - a Mountie's red coat, the snow-covered peaks of Whistler or our national winter passtime, hockey.
On Thursday afternoon, the B.C. Royal Canadian Mounted Police tweeted out a photo that could be the most Canadian image ever.
The picture shows a Mountie in full uniform playing hockey on a mountain-side rink with the caption, “We may be Mounties, but we are all still kids at heart with @NHL dreams”.
As of 2 p.m. on Friday, the image had already been retweeted more than 800 times.

Canoeing alone in the Boundary Waters, I was fishing in a border lake on the Canadian side. I sort-of figured (okay - I knew) that it was illegal. But I hadn’t seen anyone else in over a day. (Hey - I was 19!)
Then two mounties came paddling by and busted me! They took my info and gave me a fine. The one guy did all the talking and was nice enough about it.
When they left they just took off at an unbelievable speed. When I got to the portage they had a fire going with coffee and lunch. The one guy waved me over and I had some of their coffee and food and chatted. They were on some speed canoeing team. That ingrained my image of the Dudley Do-right character. (The second mountie never said a word!)
