Andrea Mitchell - using her private email was more convenient. I've worked for the feds as a contractor. Personal convenience isn't an acceptable excuse to even unintentionally violate security rules. And doubly so when those rules come from laws, not just internal to the department.

plus they can thump on the big pile of paper to try to make people think that 55,000 pages is all of it, when as someone posted earlier, that comes down to something like 13 emails per day, and Gowdy has said there are huge (multi day) gaps. Paper buys them time to spin out the next set of lies and excuses.
