The Koenigsegg Regera is the latest supercar from the small, Swedish brand, and its specifications will blow your mind as easily as the car can blow you away.
The two-seat, mid-motor, carbon fiber machine, whose name means "to reign" in Swedish, features a unique plug-in hybrid powertrain with a total output of 1,500 horsepower, and can reach its top speed 249 mph in less than 20 seconds.
And it does it with just one gear.

I had a ‘72 MGB - bought it new. Racing orange with a navy blue interior - looked great!!!
The most fun car I ever had...and the biggest piece of crap I ever owned.
In the one winter I owned it, my wife and I would put the top down, roll-up the windows, turn the heater full blast and go screaming down empty country roads on a Sat night - great times!

And a long, very straight road. You do not want to hit a puddle or have to maneuver at that sort of speed. Forty-five years ago, Vic Elford was driving Porsche 917s at those speeds on closed trackslike LeMans.
When I recently saw a "Koenigsegg" at a Nürburgring video, I assumed it was a local German tuner with a very fast car!

Sounds like you’re gonna have to plunk down $5K or so and get it tuned up. :)

And a long, very straight road. You do not want to hit a puddle or have to maneuver at that sort of speed. That's true. When the Shelby SSC Ultimate Aero hit 257.41 mph a few years ago near here, it was on a perfectly ordinary two-lane and very straight county road, between wheat fields (Sheriff closed the road to normal traffic).

If you are hankering for a car with Apple's CarPlay installed, here's one for you. . . if you have some spare change set aside. A cool $1.9 million will let you take one home. Of course for that kind of money, you might want it to have more than just iOS connectivity. . . and this one sports Zero to 249 miles per hour in under 20 seconds. . . and it's a hybrid. 1500HP hybrid! PING!
Not an Apple car but one with Apple CarPlay Ping!
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.

.....and the biggest piece of crap I ever owned.Finest car ever made. Pure essence of automobile. I shouldn't be at all surprised if a Lancaster Bomber appeared in the night sky over your homestead and blasted your blaspheming carcass off the planet.
Warn the neighbors, RAF bombs were very rarely within 5 miles of their alleged "targets." (Typical Raid: Missed the Tank and Plane Factory. Took out the Zoo.) Seems Lucas made the British Bomb Sights.

The dealer’s Service Manager and myself would respectively disagree.
My ‘72 MGB was a fun car to drive when it was working properly which was a rare occurrence. Bought it new and kept it for 18 months before selling it - felt bad for the new owner for a very brief moment.
I still prefer 2-seaters - just more fun to drive but they must be dependable and a bit more refined.
