Heads up: you can currently download a free copy of onOne Softwares Perfect Effects 9. Its a $60 program that can be used as a Photoshop or Lightroom plugin or as a standalone tool. Inside are customizable filters and hundreds of presets that allow you to quickly apply custom looks to your photos.

Be sure to copy and save the license number, you will need it to activate the program.
Thanks Swamp, my version of Photoshop is getting a little long in the tooth and I need something with a little more muscle then the free stuff that is out there.
Will give it a try.
Which version do you have?
Outstanding! Thanks so much!!
Thanks!
I have it on my other computer (another part of the house). I know I bought it back in the late 90’s, tried to keep current until I ran out of money ... been using it, as is, for years. I also use GIMP and another one called 7 something (gosh, wish my other computer has handy).
I don’t do much with photos anymore, but when I need to do something Photoshop is my old standby.
Thanks..
I’d be interested to hear from others what they think of this sw and what they would use it for...
I have 7 and 9(cs2). I use 7 the most, it loads faster. I’ve collected a lot of fonts and plugins too.
Thanks for the tip.
later.
The 7 something I’m talking about is not Photoshop but some other software I bought about the same time (will get back to you on the actual name).
My only use for any of this software is to get rid of red eye for friends and family ... get to do this on a regular basis (spent hours trying to teach this to them to no avail) AND to modify advertising presentations for a few clients.
Probably paintshop, got it too. It will open stuff photoshop won’t and has some nice effects.
THAT’S IT! Don’t know were the idea of a 7 came from (unless it was version 7). Wish my memory was as good as yours. LOL!
Paintshop Pro 7
Bingo! Thanks.
Thank you, Swamp! I’ll check it out tomorrow.

It’s kinda trippy to play with.
Always changing as new users add new effects.
