Monday night on RAW, WWE Superstar and current Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins, took some shots at Jon Stewart, calling The Daily Show "unwatchable."
Bad move, Seth. Now Stewart (a massive wrestling fan) has fired back in this pitch-perfect A-plus promo.

Since Seth Rollins had pics of his um, manhood posted all over twitter last week, this ought to take the focus off of that

Kuafman already did this routine. Didn't end well for him, either.

For reasons not to do wrestling matches, see Andy Kaufman.

It was a worked angle, just as this is.

Didn't end well for him, either. If one looks closely, one can see that the wrestler didn't really bitch slap him. It is no wonder that the wrestling federation sent Kaufman checks as they would any performer (they were never cashed).

I thought he got dropped on his head, doing permanent damage, leading eventually to his death.

Lawler used a pile driver. The move gives the appearance of being dropped on your head. If properly executed, no harm will result. If improperly executed, serious injury and even death can result.
Lawler and Kaufman practiced this routine in the gym, of course.

To: Steely Tom
No. Andy Kaufman died of lung cancer. Andy never smoked and was a vegetarian, too so go figure. The fall on his head certainly hurt, but Andy exaggerated it for show business effect.
video of famous slap (language caution). Before they were in movies, The Three Stooges were really slapped by Moe and Ted Healy. It had to be done for entertainment purposes.

I don’t know who Seth Rolins is but I agree with him about The Daily Show.
It is awful.

No. Andy Kaufman died of lung cancer. Wow. Truly bizarre.
But no more bizarre than Andy Kaufman in life. That observation has probably been made countless times already.
I actually thought all these years that the pile driver started him on a path of declining health. Thank you for setting me straight.
