I would think an architect could figure out how to sound proof his home.

I would think a non-moron could figure out how to buy a house that’s not next-door to a church that rings the bells every 15 minutes.

Who was there first? It’s like the home owner who builds downwind of a pig farm and then complains about the smell.

What's he gonna do when the mosque opens up with that shrill, dissonant call to prayer on megaphones five times a day?
Yeah, sue the Moslems and see where that gets you!

I suspect he has some kind of mental fixation with the bells. I do sort of understand where he is coming from tho.
Several years ago, after a deadly wreck at an intersection maybe 300 yards from me, the state took action. They put in a series of warning strips across the highway to make sure you know you are about to have to stop.
They then put up some heavy duty flashing warning lights.
Now every time a car comes by I hear a series of whump, whump whumps. Sometimes an 18 wheeler will literally shake the foundation a little.
After a few months I began to not notice them.

The church bell is one of the things I like about my little town.
Nothing quite like a church bell in the distance on a quiet summer morning.

Yes, the occasional chiming is relaxing and tranquil. I find it reassuring.

Lived in Germany for several years back in the 60’s and loved the sound of bells ringing in the morning and evening, one of my finest memories.

In the town where I grew up the siren over the fire department blows every day at noon. They started doing it in the days when there were few motors and people were out working in the fields so they knew when it was noon. You can hear it for miles.
I had a bedroom barely 100 feet from it. If anybody asked when I would be up and around I told them I’ll definitely be up by noon.

Nothing quite like a church bell in the distance on a quiet summer morning.Or any time; when I step out of my house at the top of or bottom of the hour, the Church bell sounds in the distance are amazing and soothing!

Dude, either move or buy ear plugs. The church bells have been ringing for centuries. You can not claim that you didn't know that when you bought the place.

Western MD panhandle, on the WV line with PA about 15 minutes away in the other direction. On a clear day, you can see three states from the back porch - our family home is on a mountain ridge. Appalachia.

My sister lives about a mile from the runway of an Ar Force base from which C-5s and F-18s often take off.Unlike civilian airliners these aircraft have no noise abatement technology and, therefore, are incredibly loud passing near her house on takeoff.
Yet,according to my sister, you barely notice them after you've lived there for a while.
I smell a rat here.

I like church bells.... But, every 15 minutes.. ALL NIGHT long....is abusive. I 100% agree with this guy.
I suffered through it one July night in Jorgen, Switzerland. Had to keep my windows open, because it was HOT, and there was no AC. I heard EVERY chime....all night.
Just horrible...
