“But on our street somebody always shoveled all of the walks around the house full of retired nuns”
Sounds like a nice neighborhood.
.
Hmmm....Several feet of settled Yeti Science.
So far....we’ve had a grand total of 4”.
That ran away by midday.
Nice area. Spent some time around Fields Corner myself.
I had a friend from Savin Hill,it was very nice.
She stayed there her entire life——passed away several years ago.

While collectively Massachusetts residents seem lost politically, at least in the 1980s there were a lot of neighborhoods with very considerate, nice people in them. I am sure there still are many people just like my neighbors then living in and around Boston today. And they too are no doubt shaking their heads at the things the wacky leftists do.
Yes...it shall pass. In the meantime....stay safe, and warm....and off of the streets!
My son has a friend who attends BU. We’re wondering what she’s thinking about Boston...with this crazy winter/snow. She’s a Texas girl, born and raised, so it has to be a major adjustment.
I’ll be thinking about you...and all of those in MA, this weekend. Praying for a nice thaw :)

There are still lots of considerate people. I just avoid the hardcore lib places like Provincetown,Northampton, and Cambridge.

Wow,B.U. is very urban-—I hope the young lady is enjoying the winter in the city.
A couple of my grandaughter’s friends go there and one of my daughters and a daughter-in-law earned MBAs there.
A great school.

Dunno, but if they were a REAL railroad they'd get their hands on one of these...
...because they were built during the tail end of the mini ice age that lasted 400 years from 1350 to 1750.
Shakespeare built his theater in 1620 with a pointy roof.
Yea I worked at RADC and remember that storm. The most snow I had ever seen in a 24 hour period.
You may want to check tonight's forecast as some meteorologists hint the storm is going to hit your area and Cape Cod harder, than was forecast yesterday. -tom
I saw that on my local CBS news affiliate here in Maine....the local weather guy said 14 - 24 inches in coastal Maine, mostly on Sunday.
The CBS Evening News national weather guy said “Down East” Maine is in the bulls-eye of this storm. I’m in coastal Down East Maine and we’ve had six feet of snow since January 24th. It’s been bitter, bitter cold so none of it has melted.
Some areas further up the coast have received 7 or 8 feet of snow since January 24th. Now another two feet on top of that is coming? Mother Nature is going bonkers.
Stay safe and stay warm, you Mainiacs.
If you have lived in Maine for many years you may have noticed how weather coverage has changed in this regard.
Storms would be followed with great coverage up the coast until they passed Boston going northward, and then the coverage would stop.
It was like the storms went out to sea, when in fact Maine would get hammered. Now all of New England gets coverage. -Tom
