We are used to Noreasters, but this storm looks like the north west winds will be driving the snow, not the north east winds.
That will be different - but this has been a different winter. -Tom
Winter Storm Neptune.
Don't forget the below zero temperatures.
I’m in coastal Maine and we’re facing the same storm.
Six feet of snow since January 24th, and more coming.
The winter from hell continues on!
Not quite as bad here in the Capital Region but, like you, dealing with a series of storms over the past 2 weeks. Some of the neighbors have had to hire someone with a roof rake. We’re currently looking at another 5” on Saturday followed by yet another storm on Wednesday with 8 to 12” forecast.
On the Maine coast too. We don’t need any more snow. I’m quite satisfied that we’ve had a real winter - now if it would just end.
I’m in the Boston area.
I’m in an apartment building and our roof was cleared a couple of days ago.
What a month it has been.
.
Yeti alert!
Dang. Enough already.
You have been through it, with this year’s weather. Prayers up to you for a break, SOON!
I’m in Upstate NY. This has been the most miserable winter I can recall in a long time.
So far all the storms have been light fluffy stuf.......this one looks to be the same although after this one some will need to get it off the roofs before the wet March crap comes or it will be creeping cracking joists.
My place is 1776 and has seen a few storms I suppose and its an old cape with a decent pitch and no gutters is a big help.Good luck
I wish they would line up all the Easterners on the shore facing west and have them all sing their praises to Barack Hussein Obama. Maybe they could blow some of that stuff back out here to the west. We need the precip.
I’m glad I live in the Middle Tennessee area where snow is a rarity, but there is a few unhappy workers at the local Amazon facility this weekend in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Some of the workers in Outbound have to work overtime the next couple of days to cover for the snow they are getting out east, not sure if they have shut down those Amazon facilities out east for a day or so but a lot of orders are being transfer to our facility in Middle Tennessee.
It’s been an interesting year.
They have been doing a great job with streets, especially main streets, but they are getting narrower and narrower.
Pedestrians are in the narrow streets because the sidewalks are full of snow, often pushed there by plows.
More snow Sunday.
Oh well,this too shall pass.
.
I am from Western MA, but I am in Northeastern VT tonight. They are talking about -25 tonight and record cold. I lived in VT for four years and I cannot imagine how cold it has to be to set a frakin’ record.
I cannot wait for this winter to end. If it ever does.
Just be happy 2014 was the hottest year on record.
(Right?)
