That comes to $90 a bottle, I think. I was going to say that for that price you could fly from Australia to LA for a Big Mac with sauce, but I guess not quite.

Fry sauce, which is popular in the Rocky Mountain states and almost nowhere else, is also just a mixture of ketchup and mayo with a dash of Worcestershire sauce.

I know this because one of my daughters who ran a small eatery in Idaho during her college years, mixed it for the owner when traffic was slow.

Many places there will sell souvenir bottles of the stuff to tourists who try it an like it.

Or you could make your own for just the cost of the grocery items.

No, that’s $18K a bottle. I’m thinking there’s going to be a lot of employee pilferage at that price......

“.........you could fly from Australia to LA for a Big Mac “..

I wouldn’t walk across the street for one let alone fly halfway around the world.

Again, a misrepresented “price”.

It’s a limited-edition trinket presented in return for a very large charitable donation. Rich people do it to liven up philanthropy.

I realized this when watching a $50 POS “Christmas tree” (with a bubbling tube as a trunk) go for $3000 at a charity auction. It’s not about buying the product, it’s about creating an amusing environment to give away money.

AN OLDIE but goodie from Fast Times at Ridgemont High:

Brad: “You got your sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, secret sauce …”

Guy: “What’s the secret sauce?”

Brad: “Thousand island dressing. What’s the secret sauce at Bronco Burger?”

Guy: “Ketchup and mayonnaise.”

Fry sauce is also made with ketchup, mayo, and mustard, or ketchup, mustard and Thousand Island dressing (Wheeler's Drive-In in Nampa does the latter, or did, anyway, 20 years ago).

If you ever need indigestion, gas and the explosive squirts and there is no McD close by to get Big Mac, I’ve found the microwavable “Hot Pockets” work almost as well.

I was in the middle of pinging everyone with a link to Big H and that picture... and saw you got it already. I remember mom buying a bottle of this stuff once.

We bought it more than once. The “Big Mac Attack” ads were aimed at kids my age, and Hellman’s cashed in with their “Have it at home, America” jingle.
