Apple, in its flush of new, bigger iPhone 6 handsets, has been selling record numbers of its older and newer model smartphones in the last few months, and now its passed another significant milestone: it has managed to overtake sales of Android devices in the key market of the U.S. for the first time in three years.

LOL ... I wonder at how many Internet sites your term would be recognized? “sobriquet” FR IS an amazing website, eh?
Another post that comes up in my pings that I won’t read!
Keep going. You’re awesome! You’ve got tons of time to talk to a wall and contemplate your navel!
At some point, you’ll believe me when I say I’m only seeing that you are responding, but not reading a word you write.
I have never had an iPad crash/lockup. Never in almost five years of using one. Nor have any of my co-workers, office staff who use one daily, or friends who have them.
Frankly, MHGinTN, I don't have a clue what you are talking about. There is no PIN HOLE for restarting an iPad. No where. Restarting an iPad is accomplished by holding the Home button and the Power button simultaneously for ten seconds which forces a cold shut down. The only such hole would be to remove a SIM card on a Cellular enabled iPad. . . and that would not restart the iPad. Therefore, I simply do not believe you.
Two entirely different genres. . . when I get blocked on one, move over to the other. One is a thriller. . . the other is Science Fiction.
More proof that you are a TROLL!
The Dummies on DU would be rushing to their dictionaries if they knew what one was. . .
Interesting ... so when the clerk at Sam’s inserted a straightened paperclip into the body of the iPad the first time I brought it back to them it was not really penetrating the thing and I was witnessing magic? Or do you really want to imply that I am lying on this forum?
In the end, it’s just a F****** phone.
Not according to the mass market. That’s why Apple is being REWARDED by the consumer ... :-) ...
On my iPad, that pinhole is for the cellular SIM card.
Can the SIM Card Be Removed in an iPad?

It’s not for restarting the iPad.
Marvin, there really is no middle ground. Either you are lying, or you are so grossly mistaken as to be on par with an aboriginal swearing he's been cursed.
Your opinion is worth what I paid for it ...
It’s not an “opinion.”
It’s a inescapable deduction.
Thank you, sir!
Instead, I would suggest a clerk at Sam's knows extremely little about iPads. . . and actually dislodged the SIM card. That is not for resetting an iPad is not a recommended means of fixing anything on an iPad. I apologize for impugning your honesty. . . but you were given wrong information. Perhaps you had a defective iPad. They do occur. Apple products do have the share of bad products that get out there and Apple will replace them. I know of no Apple product that uses a pin hole for a reset button. . . except, I think, their Air Port Base Stations WIFI Routers. Again, my apologies.
That is why you don't belong on these threads, you have no clue what an iPhone is. It is a powerful computer that has a phone in it mostly used to access data from the internet, but occasionally used to make a phone call.
Levity does not include vulgarities used to scream a point.
