This reminds me of an old saying (I THINK I’m remembering it correctly):
“Build a man a fire and he stays warm for one night.
Set a man on fire and he stays warm for the rest of his life.”
A little girl and boy about 7 went missing a few counties south of there and Nashville in 2012... they were staying in their grandparents’ house around the time it happened. The house burned but the firemen could find no evidence that the children were inside when the burning happened. Don’t know what happened to the grandparents or where they were when it happened but the fire looked like arson, maybe if the perp was inclined to use fire once he’d do it again.
