In a sane country, Dad could have killed King and walked after an inquiry. We were sane 150 years ago; we are not now.
To: fella
Well, I guess he crossed that line.

If the Ft Worth PD had the sense God gave a turnip, that guy woulda been arrested and behind bars long ago after several documented acts of vandalism.
He’d still be alive (unfortunately), but the officer wouldn’t have needed to get shot.
It’s on the Fort Worth PD, and someone needs to investigate them.

Sounds like the Fort Worth police department was responsible for getting one of their own shot because they weren’t willing to protect the public.
Wonder who was really protecting the creep.

Sounds like Texas needs a stalking law like they have in California.

This is almost as bad as Cape Fear (1962) with Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck. I saw it in black and white as a kid on the Late Show, and the story stayed in my head for a week after that.

From the article...
“He is extremely smart.”
He may have been clever, but he wasn’t smart.
