A small, but elite group of Americans demonstrate signs of anti-Christian hostility, sociologists David Williamson and George Yancey claim in their new book, So Many Christians, So Few Lions: Is There Christianophobia in the United States?
In an email interview with The Christian Post, Yancey, professor of sociology at the University of North Texas, explained that Christians are fortunate in one sense, because those with anti-Christian hostility are small in number; but in another sense, they should be concerned, because those with "Christianophobia" tend to be powerful elites with influence in certain important areas, such as higher education.
The data for their research comes from a large national survey, the American National Election Survey, and interviews they conducted with members of liberal advocacy organizations.

The other name for it: the spirit of anti-Christ.
We at FR knew this back in 1999. Slow sociologists.
But they probably are just fine with Muslims. Why? Because they really worship Political Correctness. Go figure.
It is because America’s “elites” have accepted a new narrative and ethos about America - the leftist/revisionist one. Christianity is the hallmark of America’s founding and culture. If you are against “the past” then you are against Christianity. People like Bill Ayers, Sonya Sotomayor or Barack Obama have worked themselves into and throughout the US system of government over the past 4 decades, especially as America’s government has grown.
The process has been accepted by Americans because the mainstream itself is being slowly changed - but most importantly, the US Dollar and Pax Americana has allowed the medicine to work slowly, without massive shocks. The elites have bought the acquiescence of American society with stability at home, massive debt, consumerism, printed FED money and government handouts.
” Yancey, professor of sociology at the University of North Texas”
He better stay in North Texas. I never met a sociologist who wasn,t a doctrinaire leftist : )
Unfortunately the number is not that small.
Yep, I’ve seen this for some time. It explains most everything the leftist elitists do.
All their policies that cause harm to targeted groups pick those groups purposefully as proxies for attacking Christians.
Muslims want to kill Christians too.
That’s why the left are “just fine” with them.
The phrase, “Duh,” comes to mind.
“And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” 1 John 4:3

They Should Be Eradicated (link to The Blaze)
My version of John I 4:3 is as follows:
“and every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ come in the flesh belongs to God, and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world.
The New America Bible. The words an meaning are the same, but it may be a bit clearer from the NAB.
Yeah, I just prefer the cadence of the KJV. It was intended to be read aloud, so it really has a strong rhythm to the verses that makes them memorable.
The full interview, and no doubt the book, are apt illustrations and studies of the spirit which ultimately will lead to continually increasing Christian martyrdom, as predicted in Scripture as the end times progress. Many who are alive now will experience it first-hand.
Wow, this fellow is lining himself up for a classicly ironic fulfillment of not judging so you aren't judged similarly. Die in a fire? Last I heard, they still haven't fixed hell's sprinkler system, and while its gate is wide, fire trucks still don't enter. He'll chew on those words forever.
Hope he reconsiders...the Holy Spirit has gotten through to tougher cases than he--after all, He saved a wretch like me! I'm praying for him.
I must be slipping cause I usually catch irony like a slow moving pop-fly.
That’s classic
To catch pop flies, you need Songlasses.
