Sort of funny how the Left finds itself imposing the pre-1968 rules under the all encompassing theme of preventing sexual assaults. I like to describe it as Neo-Victorianism imposed at the end of the barrel of a gun. Since beer and wine are still ok at Dartmouth students instead of hitting the vodka will binge drink on beer and wine to get the same effects.

yeah. that’ll work!

I went to a college with separate sex dorms and a very strong no booze of any kind rule.

Sex and booze ran nonstop.

Students are even better than prisoners on getting contraband. It even makes it more fun.

**hard alcohol will not be served at events open to the public, whether the event is sponsored by the college or by student organizations.”**

I’m sure there are taverns right across the street that will meet the demand.

Ironically, the movie Animal House was based upon one of the co-writers' experience as an undergrad at Dartmouth.

The drinking age in NH is 21, isn’t it? Wasn’t there a ban already?

Progressivism is doing more damage to those students than any bottle of booze ever will.

Its the leftist way. They want to micro-manage society, but once in control, they are more puritanical than anyone.

My experience is with Communist China. When Mao took charge, drug dealers were executed on the spot, addicts were sent off to prison camps, where they either died or became clean, along with prostitutes and operators of bars and brothels. Homosexuals were jailed, and society called them freaks. They know exactly how society is disrupted, having promoted the disruption themselves, and being good Marxists, will allow no chance of it once they are in charge.

Same in Russia, Cuba or any other Michael Moore admired society.

“In the majority of alcohol-induced medical transports, it is hard alcohol — rather than just beer or wine — that lands students on a hospital gurney,” Dr. Hanlon said, and so “hard alcohol will not be served at events open to the public, whether the event is sponsored by the college or by student organizations.”

threatened to do away with fraternities or other groups that fail “to elevate and not denigrate the Dartmouth experience.”

So the homosexual groups are going to be banned as well?

Oh for the love of God — If they can’t keep these special little snowflakes from smoking weed (which, oh my God is illegal) then how in the hell are they going to keep them from drinking whisky?!?

The bottom line is Darwin was right, let the precious little snowflakes prove it...

When I was at the University of Oregon in the late 70’s the local beer distributor made a mistake on ordering Lowenbrau beer - something along the lines of two extra zeros on the order...several boxcars of Lowenbrau showed up when they were expecting maybe five pallets!

They sold the beer for $5.00 per case and distributor was within walking distance of the ‘alcohol free’ dorms.

There were many dormies who were walking with suitcases to and from the distributor - many times a day...

The RA’s would plan raids (which were known about in advance) - conducted one floor at a time - ALL the beer was hidden on the third floor when the ‘raid’ began on the first -— then the ‘raid’ continued on the second floor all the while ALL of the beer was going down the stairway via a ‘bucket’ brigade to the cleared first floor...somehow the beer was never found!

Man it was something to see!
