Queertastic, the NHL: all star game has had a similar format the last few years.
“IL news flash:”
I forgot about that, ***k you very much for signing that bill, Pat Quinn, you little Irish Nancy boy.
They did? Honestly, I pay no to all star games.
We’ve had the Amazon tax here too. It’s like Herpes - it just keeps on giving.
Unless something is just not available otherwise, I’ve stopped using Amazon.
They’ve been collecting it here in Maryland if the item ships from within Maryland. Bass turds.
I watch the MLB one, not so much the others.
I agree.
I understand.
Don’t forget Bender he was Mongo from Blazing Saddles
Also Webster dad

I think home field advantage in the WS should go to whichever team has the better record but having the All-star game decide it does make that game more compelling.
Alex was a real character, funny as hell and I wish I could have known him better--
I see that point, but yes, the better record should = home field, period.
There is growing rumor that we may see Webster on Antenna or METV this year in reruns you see him again this year is 40th anniversary of premire of Blazing saddles you going hear a lot on that
I was surprise after seeing that PBS American master on Mel Brooks that Warner bros want horse punching scene out gee wonder why
Webster: God-awful dreck. As a young GOPster, I wanted to impersonate Elvis and shoot the TV when it was on.
I’d rather watch this: http://www.watching-grass-grow.com
Webster SUCKS! Webster SUCKS! Webster SUCKS! Webster SUCKS!
I never saw “Webster” once.
Must not be very popular in syndication.
I’d rather watch Matlock while eating at Old Country Buffet.
I liked “Webster”, although it was clearly a bit of a rip-off of “Diff’rent Strokes”, albeit with a 2-parent household. At least I liked it at the time, whether I would now is another story (I haven’t seen an episode since the ‘80s). We got cable about the time it was in production, and I had a weird time reconciling Susan Clark as “Mom” having played “Cherry Forever” in “Porky’s” right alongside Alex Karras as the bumbling sheriff and close relative of Porky.
“Whatchutalkinabout, Willis?”
Summary: This Super Bowl is the kind of matchup you want to see with the two top-ranked teams in the NFL against each other and a top offense (NE) against a top defense (Seattle). The whole game should be enjoyable to watch. The most skilled matchup will be when NE has the ball. But Seattles offense and NEs defense are both better than average so that also will be a fun matchup to watch. Both teams tend to come on late in the game and can score quickly. The Pats scored 21 points in the last two quarters against a tough #6 Panthers defense. The Seahawks scored 15 points within two minutes in the fourth quarter against GB. It could come down to things like turnovers, penalties (Seattle has a problem with this), and special teams (Seattles special teams were the reason they scored 15 points inside of two minutes). Over the last three seasons and postseasons, Seattle and NE are tied for the NFLs best turnover ratio at plus 51. Below are some more run/pass, offense/defense details if youre interested. Just dont take my seat when I go for more pizza.
NE: NEs #4 offense has struggled with top defenses and Seattle is the #1 defense in the NFL. In the regular season, NE lost to KC (#2 defense in the NFL) and lost one and won one against the Bills (#4 defense). In the playoffs, they had a near miss against the Panthers (#6 defense), against whom they had to score 21 points in the last two quarters to win. 21 points in two quarters against a #6-ranked defense is pretty amazing. Well, NE, who has shown they can score quickly against good defenses, will have to play at the top of their game to score enough points against Seattles tough defense. NEs #8 defense has done well in the playoffs against the top passing teams of the Colts and the Broncos. Seattle is not a top passing team, so NE should do well against Seattles pass. NEs run defense is stronger than their run defense but Seattle running game is one of the best in the NFL. On defense, the key to NEs success will be stopping Seattles running game.
Seahawks: Seattles #10 offense could be neutralized by NEs #8 defense. But Seattle has shown it can score quickly - it scored 15 points in less than two minutes against GBs #13 defense, but it was a fairly miraculous series of events, a TD from a fake field goal try and a successful onside kick, helped. Outside of that, Seattles best chance on offense is their top running game. Seattles #1 defense will be challenged by NEs #4 offense which can also score quickly. Seattle must stop helping the opposing team with all their penalties. Seattle will have to watch their turnovers. Although Seattle is tops in turnover ratio over the last three seasons, they were minus three against GB.
Projected winner: NE but it should be close. I think NEs defense will stop Seattle enough for NEs offense to blitz Seattle one too many times.
The thing that worries me, as a 'Hawks fan, is the 3 tight end set, the "magic 3"....
I'm all ears. What does that mean?
A good tight end is big and he can both block and catch. He's an eligible receiver, able to catch passes in heavy traffic because of his size. He's bigger than a wide receiver, but faster than a lineman.
On any given play, the tight end could block or could go out for a pass. Throw three tight ends in there on the same side of the line and you have a nightmare for the defensive coordinator. It could be the next big step in the evolution of offense. Also: It's a 3-4 defense killer.
