Alex Karras and his wife, Susan Clark, had their own production company called Georgian Bay that produced "Webster." And he had an assistant that was one of the best looking women I ever laid eyes upon who took pity on a poor, 'big toe in the sand' Texas boy (my main MO in those days even if I was in my mid to late-30s) and got some of my writing in the door in the 1980s. That aside, I wrote a couple of spec script tailored for them (one a Television Christmas Special called "Pappy's Tree" I was very proud of--) that were never produced--
Alex was a real character, funny as hell and I wish I could have known him better--
